Good review. I know life is full of suffering, but some people seem to have it harder than others. I am glad Joanne had her husband to support her.

I share the reviewer’s opinion that the book opens with a vivid recollection of the traumatic incident. The opening presents a strong position of how a negative situation can lead to positive life’s lessons. It also cements the concept that adversity can either make you better or bitter. From the reviewer’s point of view, Joanne chose to become better and not bitter.

The review’s mention of survival, self-discovery and valuing one’s health easily motivates anyone with interest in those aspects to go ahead and read the book. It also encourages one to get all the details of what transpired in Joanne’s life after the accident and how she handled life after the accident. I would want to read the book.

Although this isn't a book I would typically choose to read, I believe it has the potential to provide valuable insights to those who do.

Thanks for a great review. I also thought that the book's title meant some hurt or regrets the author may have had in life, but the different perspective raised by the author is worth considering. The themes you've highlighted also make for a good read, so I'm making time to read this book in the future.

I think a lot of us get caught up in the grind and neglect our health and wellbeing. It's sad that Joanne learned this the hard way, but it's a good lesson for all of us. Thank you.

I really don't like memoirs as a genre and I would especially try to avoid this type of it, because as a private person I simply can't understand such overheating of feelings and experiences. Don't get me wrong, I greatly admire the author's efforts to undertake a "physical and emotional journey of recovery and self-discovery", but documenting it for strangers' eyes, in my opinion, is unnecessary. Still congrats on BOTD!

Joanne is beyond memorable, and her perseverance and tenacity are admirable. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. It brought me joy to see that Joanne overcame her trials and tribulations, and it's an inspiration to know that she is stronger than ever! Thank you for writing such a motivating, compelling, and captivating review! :D

This fantastic review places the reader into the life and soul of Joanne Greene, following an accident. This memoir seems to bring the art of letting go to me on a personal level. It also brings in the past experiences and the effects made on family and friends coupled with the faith of each person. This memoir touches the soul.

I find sharing an account of one's life inspiring to others. According the the review, which I enjoyed, "A crucial insight that can be gleaned from Joanne's experiences is that adversity can serve as a catalyst for personal growth and development." May we learn from her life and that of others, how to be better versions of ourselves.
Great review!

This is a testament to the remarkable strength of the human spirit when faced with difficulty. One thing that stands out to me is that Joanne had a supportive partner. I am eager to find out the details of her encounters and how she endures and emerge from the difficulties stronger.

I must say only people who's life has slapped in their faces can relate. However l am sure other readers and myself want to know what next of Joanne's life journey.

Memoirs are not my cup of tea but the review is very enthusiastic. Hardships form our personality and Joanne is a very storng person who faced all her challenges and managed them. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

An inspirational memoir "By Accident" by Joanne Greene, which dwells on the author's physical and emotional journey of recovery and self-discovery. I think this one is a very much enlightening book.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.
