The memoir presents both heartwarming and heartbreaking images of Afghanistan, highlighting the complexity and ambiguities of their culture, history, and society while also providing a thought-provoking view of the Afghan people's resilience.

The way you described this book is wonderful in that it summarizes the author's message while also mentioning that anyone can find a way to relate to this book. I now am very excited to read this work. I know my view of the world outside the United States of America is limited, so this book will likely be a good option. Thank you for this review!

It is a traumatic experience to watch the country where one grew up, change and become a dangerous place to live. It takes a lot of guts to relocate elsewhere and start over. To adjust to life in a different country, with different cultures, values and way of living takes a lot of courage. Thank you for the insightful review.

The journey looks interesting and inspiring. Her story of struggle should inspire all of us to persevere through difficult times in life. I like reading such real-life stories to learn real-life lessons. Also, it would be nice to see it from her perspective of her journey that started in Afghanistan and to where she is now. Looking forward to reading it.
