Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review of Be the Weight Behind the Spear. I can tell that this book had a profound impact on you, particularly in how it addresses the need for strong, value-driven leadership in America. I appreciate your point about the author's passion and his wealth of experience, both in the military and in business, which lends credibility to his insights on leadership. Your mention of the personal stories, especially the history of the author's wife's family, caught my attention; it sounds like these anecdotes add a rich, relatable layer to the book.

I also found it interesting that, despite the minor issue with the unclear mention of a divorce, you still felt the book deserved a perfect rating. It speaks volumes about the overall quality and message of the book. Your recommendation to not only Americans but also to people worldwide is compelling; it shows that the principles discussed could have a broader relevance. This review definitely makes me want to explore the book further, especially as someone interested in leadership and the future of society.

This book deals with leadership in America and how to have a better America with responsible leaders in the future. The author also speaks with passion, and at point ,I felt he would do well as president because his leadership knowledge was amazing.
The author also shared an amazing background story and it loved the story about his wife's family history which was rich, hilarious and inspiring.

Thank you for sharing how this book inspired you. Just from the sample that I read, I completely understand that sentiment. Dr. Josh McConkey's deployment of the spear motif is incredibly inspiring and informative. He poses the question: Who do you have the ability to support in your life? How can we, as Americans, bolster the future of our nation? I, similar to you, especially appreciated the author's writing style. The tone and shifting from stories to stories are familiar to me and made the portion I read much more engaging. I was captivated by a book I normally wouldn't pick up, such is the power of Dr. McConkey's writing style. I'm glad that we were both able to take away some inspiration from this book.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting self help book designed to create better or more responsible leaders utilizing the author’s experience in the armed forces. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Knowledge is far superior and more enduring when it is derived from firsthand experience. It enhances the attraction and interest of the instruction. I appreciate how hard the author is working to instill leadership traits in both citizens and leaders. There is so much in this book to learn. Congratulations on winning BOTD!

This book sounds truly inspirational. I love his metaphor of the spear and how important a tool it was during the Persian war, and how he connected it to modern times.

What better way to prepare for the future than to teach the younger generation the things that matter? It is paramount that people in authority be accountable for their decisions. I like how precise your review is; this is an excellent recommendation.

Since McConkey has worked in the emergency unit of the US Air Force, on the battlefield in Iran, and also in business, has experience with the system and people, and can tell that the world is failing its future leaders, then this book's content has a measure of authenticity.

Thank you for your descriptive review on "Be the Weight Behind the Spear" by Josh McConkey. The author says that this is the time to teach the young ones and arm them with tools for successful leadership by emphasising certain important values. It is important that our young adults learn about leadership roles in all workplaces because they will be the next generation building up this world to make it a better one than it is right now. Reading this book sounds like the right step in the right direction. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.
