This is an interesting review of "Donkeys are not the Problem -Who are the Riders?" by Kemas Lift, sampled a few pages i enjoyed it. Adam naming the animals correctly as though he knew them from somewhere before its thought-provoking, an engaging read for those who enjoy bible stories. Keen on reading the book.

Kemas Lift’s Donkeys are not the problem – who are the riders? Dig into the ghostlike meaning of domestic ass and their riders in the biblical text. The book’s symbolization offers valuable brainstorming, making me eager to research its lessons.

'The scripture will appeal to Christian readers, but I found it a little heavy. I think the author expects the reader to be reasonably proficient in Bible knowledge, and this knowledge would certainly help the reader understand the book.'
I guess an apt reader of the Bible would better appreciate this book.

:techie-studyingbrown:

Thank you for your informative review. The book offers compelling yet complex literal and metaphorical concepts about donkeys in the Bible. There are numerous lessons in it. The author's examinations appear to be difficult to follow for those who aren't familiar with the script. I'm not the target audience of this book.

I don't get the arbitrariness of the status of various animals in the Bible. Sure, they believe the donkey is of high status, but why? I would like to find a clear explanation of this, and the excerpt from this book did not deliver on that.

The review is thorough. The book isn't suitable for me. In terms of the idea It isn't easy to compare religious stories with reality and use metaphors to express them. Hope it reaches the right readers. Congrats on BOTD

Thank you for your detailed and honest review! It’s interesting how the author uses donkeys as both a literal and metaphorical symbol, but I can see how that might make the book challenging to follow. The connection between the donkey’s loyalty and service to biblical figures and how we should live with purpose is an intriguing idea. However, the heavy use of scripture and complex metaphors might make it difficult for readers who aren't as familiar with the Bible. Your explanation helped clarify the book’s themes, and I appreciate your balanced perspective on its strengths and weaknesses!

'Official Review: Donkeys are not the Problem - Who are the Riders' by Kemas Lift Goforward interprets the potent and instructive content of the non-fiction book. The book explores the donkey in the Bible and those who rode them. In the Bible, the donkeys help man accomplish God-given work. Readers would like the comparisons between the Bible stories and modern life. Furthermore, the narrative comprises explanations of Bible stories. The author advocates living a life serving God just like a loyal donkey does.

Thank you for the review! I like how the book connects religious stories to modern life. The idea seems interesting, but the metaphors and heavy use of scripture might make it a bit hard to follow. Still, the concept of learning from the role of donkeys in the Bible is unique. I might read it, but I’ll keep in mind that it requires a good understanding of biblical texts.

Today's BOTD is a Biblical allegory of Balaam and the donkey that Christian readers will enjoy. I don't think this is the book for me, but I do appreciate stories that make you think and include life lessons you can apply to your own circumstances for years to come. Thank you for the review!

I love what this Christian book proposes. This type of reader always tells the analysis of the biblical passages in general, however this one opted for a point of view where the behavior of those who rode the donkey is analyzed, which appears on different occasions in the stories of the Bible. Excellent selection #BOTD
