It's easy to whine about your issues and do nothing significant to resolve the situation. But it really takes a lot of courage and resilience to persist and to stand for oneself and prove to be the best version anyone else could ever imagine. This review was quite detailed and the reviewer had put out the right words in praise of the book which quantity the amount of wisdom that is compressed in a firm of a book in few pages. This book also gives tips on self growth and investment which would prove useful for others who would like to trace her path to escape from their current dreaded situation. I would love to read it if I get a chance to.

I am not sure how this book stands out from the thousands of 'rags to success' personal stories/memoirs out there. If you come some the same background as the author, you may feel that what she says strikes a chord or two.
I write the best reviews possible. :idea2:

This book seems unexpected in a positive way. I thought, based off the title, that it would be about people being loved until they start thinking for themselves within the context of romantic relationships. The author seems like she isn’t afraid to speak her mind, which is great. Good review!

I''m not really a fan of memoirs but this one sound inspiring. I think traveling and adapting to different cultures would be eye-opening for certain.

This book sounds like a powerful and thought-provoking memoir. Monica’s journey of resilience and independent thinking seems truly inspiring, especially her refusal to adopt a victim mentality. The way she addresses social and economic divisions while offering practical insights on growth and self-improvement makes it even more compelling. It’s great to see a book that challenges perspectives and encourages people to push beyond limitations.

Memoirs aren't usually my thing, but this one hooked me right from the first page just on my initial skim-through. Glad to see this reviewer validating my intuition that this will be one really worth reading. Call me performative in my feminism, but I love seeing a woman showing off her rich inner life and background, and Ms Swaida certainly has one as one of nine children of a forensic investigator. I'm also a sucker for inspirational immigrant stories. And this also got a 5 out of 5 rating? It really must be something special!
