Thank you so much for your review! It was really helpful. Unfortunately, I don't think it is the book for me. Working in the education field, I read all different types of leadership books. Most of them inform you of the various skills leaders possess, so that you can "follow their lead" and also reach success in your desired field. The best ones, though, help you discover the type of leader you are right now and show you how to grow and transform into the leader you want to become, so that eventually, you can do the same for your staff. I don't like the idea of just placing employees where you feel they are a "good fit" within the company, especially if they have been doing that same job for years. Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of guidance and support to get them on the path to success. Isn't that what the person reading the book wants...guidance and support? Just a thought...

I do like that this book focuses on millennials, but hopefully it also touches on Generation Z, or it will be outdated soon. Millennials are the present, but Gen Z is the future. Preparation now leads to results later.

I'm so happy you explained the meaning behind the title. Even though it grabs attention, I am still a bit put off by the author's decision to call his book Violent Leader. Although these aren't as creative, he could have used something like "Disrupting the Status Quo" or "Embracing Change." I think some people might pass by it because they interpret it differently than what the author intended.

Again, thank you so much for your review. I didn't expect my response to be so long! Whew! Keep up the great work. :-)

The title of this book checked all the boxes beyond every reasonable doubt what a business entrepreneur should really look like.

For a business to succeed real good, the owner must exhibit some traits of dogmatic approach to really achieve the objectives and aims of the business.

The word violent may be a little disturbing for some people, but I think am able to see through exactly what the author meant using that word.

For me, the book is a must read not for the business class alone, but everybody. As far as am concerned the world is a business ground on it's own.
Thanks for the impeccable and comprehensive review.

putting "violent" and "leadership" together doesn't sound so appealing for me indeed because of bad experiences, personal and not. however, knowing it should be positive in context made the difference. it became interesting. as a leader, i think i need this! good job on the review!

"Violent" does not sound like a good thing. But in the world of business, it's eat or be eaten. I've known a few managers who should really read this book, especially the part about giving the right job to the right people.

The title of the book is rather off-putting, but it sounds like the message is right on target for today’s leaders.

Thanks for a great review! I agree on some points you made. What was the deal with the weird hyphenated words? I also found the thermostat-thermometer analogy very accurate and thought-provoking. I only sampled the book, but I think it would be great to be able to read all of it, especially about millenials, since according to my age, I should be one of them, but I really do not identify myself with them. Thanks for the recommendation, as a stay-at-home mum I am currently looking into possibilities of opening my own bussiness to make some money on the side. Great review!

The title Violent Leadership really intrigued me, however this isn't really my kind of book. After reading the reviews and previews it sounds like a great book, just not for me. It is about leading a team in the workplace and really making your buisness work for you which is great. I'm a work from home mother so it doesn't really apply to me but it looks very helpful to anyone who is in that type of leader/manager role.

this book is like a guide for business owners and HR managers. i find it interesting that he properly explains who a violent leader is and what it entails to be one. it was also refreshing to see his take on it. thanks for the review.

For some seconds I thought this was about some way to teach me how to lead by force😥 Not that it's a good idea but I wanted to find out more. Taking a complete view I figured it was something positive. 👍🏽

But I still think violent is not the word to use for such a positive description.

After reading the available sample, this book seemed like it could be an interesting read, although he's attempt in redefining the word violent seemed a little forced, almost as if he picked the word without thinking about it, then decided he was going to make it work. It could be that it's even an example of the style he's trying to portray- pushing through with your own vision without giving up. Overall, it didn't really seem to be the type of leadership book I would be interested in reading fully, but one that could resonate well with the correct reader.
