Thanks for the review, but I don't get down with self-help books, and I'm definitely not interested in this one on making the best of one's career.

I'm glad that this book points out that our success is not defined by where we are at the moment, that it is an unending process of growth.

I feel like I'd relly have to read about someone with decades of experience at a Fortune 5 corporation, especially because the author seems to care a lot about other people. I always enjoy reading your reviews! Thank you!

Not everyone can broadly come out and tell the world how challenging work places are. However, the author comes to educate individuals who aspire to make it in the corporate world of what awaits them. An interesting book to read. Congratulations to the author.

Do non of the reviewers understand that a 4 out of 4 means perfect. When a text has errors it is not perfect and should not be given a perfect score.

Advice on success from a one who already went high up on that pathway is helpful to most, at most of the time. I am pretty sure this book is an important and a helpful book , but I will pass on this one since I usually do not read self-help books. Congratulations on being BOTD

I find it very interesting that someone so successful, with so many years of experience, acknowledges the importance of the inner voice and intuition. Thank you, I'll read this one very soon!

I love the premise of this book! The author offers a very empowering message from which many people can benefit. I also love the peacock analogy!

The title of this book caught my attention and I went and read the sample. I like that you brought out the authors quote from the beginning of the book. It stood out to me as well!
"Your career is not defined by where you end up; it is not a destination. Your career is a journey that is assessed by your integrity, how you traveled that road, the stops you made along the way, the people you met and inspired to reach their full potential, and the lessons you learned." Blanca De La Rosa
I appreciated that you broke down the chapters to show us what she covers in each. I've added this to my shelves :techie-studyingbrown:

What an impressive life to read about. I love that she emphasizes to only follow advice that resonates with you, and that she included information about how to balance one's career with a family life (that's the tricky one sometimes). Thank you, Cecilia, for your thorough and excellent review!

Looks like a well written book. People seeking self help books should definitely read it. It will be helpful in establishing a good career and managing it nicely.
