I like informative books, and this one appears to be one of them. And so I shall definitely be reading this one. I am taking it as the good medicine it's bound to be.

Thanks for the review. I also had a problem with the editing. And I'm not sure about some of the title words: taBLe oF contentS, DiscL aimeR, etc., but these were very distracting to me and made me not want to read the rest of the book. I believe that power is knowledge, and if you have a fear of something, find out all you can about it to unravel the mysteries to alleviate the fears, so I had hopes for this book (I am not afraid of the dentist like so many others). Hopefully, they will address the editing issue.

Books like this are useful to help us learn habits that would help preserve dental health. The information about bacteria is something I never thought about. The other advantage about this book is the wide audience it appeals to - from your first tooth until dentures! Thanks for this helpful and informative review.

Many people need to know this, always close the toilet lid before flushing, because bacteria from the commode travel 10 feet ending up on toothbrushes
and other things within bathroom, this book is very educative. Thanks for the review

The author's experience in the field would definitely make this book trustable. Though I'm sorry about the editing issues. Great review!

I love that the book answers so many questions all in one place. This would be a great book to help calm anyone's fears because I feel once your aware of what things mean it takes some of the unknown out. And a great book for " parents of young children who are concerned about dental hygiene." A win win for everyone!

Thank you for this review. This will be a handy book for me as I have a condition which can affect the teeth/gums if not taken care of properly. Regarding the fact that lots of bacteria escape the toilet when you flush it...closing the lid does not actually help, it makes the bacteria shoot out of the gaps at the sides of the lid at high pressure, therefore travelling further than ten feet! (I read about this in a Horrible Science book when I was twelve.)

This book seems like it would be very informative for young readers who are learning more about dental hygiene. What age or grade level do you think this book would be best for?

Thank you for the review. It sounds like a handy book to have. The typos are such a bummer though.

This book is not for me. I have pretty extreme dental anxiety and while I appreciate the dental hygienist for answering dental questions, it still does not help the anxiety. This book is also for those who are of the Christian faith. Congrats on the book of the day! Great review.

Really useful book and must read to everyone! What I like the mist is that is written by person who is not only experienced in subject, but also is able to present information in such easy and interesting way!

I am literally writing this coment while taking antibiotics because of a dental infection haha. So by my own experience, it sound like the kind of book that can be very useful for a general audience because I have the impretion that we use to underestimate dental health, and then we pay the consequences. I don't like much looking for health information on books (or internet as well) but it makes me want to take a look at this book just because you mention that author is responsible enough of saying, even when it's a book writing by a dentist, you always have to go to an especialist.

Dental hygiene is essential to each one of us. I will read the book so that I may be enlightened on dental care and be reminded of some oral hygiene protocol that I should observe. Great review. :tiphat:

As a kid, I've always hated going to the dentist. When I became an adult, I realized how important dental hygiene is. I'd love to read a few more tips about having a set of healthy teeth.
