The review is really good. It has made me interested in reading the book. From the review the one thing I liked the most is that the author makes us appreciate the small things that makes us happy.

This collection of stories sound like it would be beneficial to someone who needs encouragement. I appreciate that the author dives deep into what makes us happy and the philosophy behind it. Congrats on the book of the day! Great review.

Encouragement is always good. I like that the storys are short, I think that makes books like this much easier to read. Nice review.

This reminds me of a book I have on Hygge, so I think I'll enjoy this one too! People often look to money, success etc for happiness, yet fail to notice the small important things in life. Well done on BOTD

I could definitely use some encouragement in my life. Plus, I just love collections of short stories. They are a joy to read and can be spaced out throughout the week, etc! Thanks for your review! :)

At first I got scared when I read that there were approximately eighty stories in this book. Yet if the stories were meant to be inspirational I wouldn't mind reading them. I also live how these were written from the perspective of a teacher and a father because both male teachers and good fathers can be hard to find today. Thanks for the review! I'll have to check this out when I get a chance.

Great review! I liked how you catagorized the sections of the book. You give me "encouragement" that someday I will be able to review like you.
Thanks again. :tiphat:

Quinto wrote: 13 Jan 2019, 21:15Pragmatism permeates every page of this book. This is important because Kotz’s positive experiences have on occasion been possible in view of the help he has drawn from others. He admits that countless people have put him back on the path when he got lost. Consequently, even the editing seems to be professionally done.
This caught my attention in your review. Often, books like these that I've picked up have wandered into too much idealism and not enough pragmatism, so this is reassuring to know and encouraged me to try it out.

What a lovely and appreciative summary of this book! I did really enjoy reading your review and from it I can tell that this would be a great book for me. The author’s wisdom and wit is sure to entertain, and also leave one thinking deeply about things. Well done!

Interesting premise. Kind of sounds like a spiritual book based on your review. Not sure it sounds like my kind of book, but for someone needing encouragement it could be a good read. Thanks for your review!

This sounds like the sort of book that you could read a story from, every day, simply for inspiration or to have when you are in a waiting room or a similar situation. Finding pleasure from simple things in life, such as the sunshine on your face is a wonderful approach to life. I was also impressed to read that the author devotes a chapter to the day of nine-eleven and those terrible terrorist attacks on America. A comprehensive and pleasant review about a book that seems to illuminate the hum-drum of everyday life.
