Great review! As I read it, it made me curious about who the intended audience is for this book. Since not everyone’s grandparents fit this stereotype, it made me curious whether parents were ascribed necessary attributes as well. As it stands, I don’t think this book is for me, but I’ll check it out to see if my questions are answered.

Its nice to have a book that, "offers examples of family types and styles of parenting" because there are so many! It also helps open the conversation to better understanding and educating families.

I liked the quotes that the author occasionally used to reinforce the points of each discussion. Spoken by well-known figures, one of the highlights for me reads, “What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. I love the quote you used. My grandma was an essential part of my family when I was growing up! I love the idea of acknowledging that there are many different structures of family and, although they all have pros and cons, the important part is love, kindness, and communication.

Positive environment and communication in a family is super important according to me because the family shapes you to be who you are from the first day. Truth is family structures are a very important factor in one's life. I feel that it has the power to either make or break a person. I am interested in reading this book to see the assorted structure mixtures that the author has included in this book as well as to see what or where the overall objective of each family lifestyle leads to as well as, how and what affects the differences have on the people's lives.
