I appreciate that the author found comfort through spirituality. I'm happy for her that she is overcoming her PTSD. That being said, I don't think her book would be for me since my beliefs are not in agreement with hers. Thanks for a revealing and open-minded review.

This is a nice book and it may provide a soothing message to those who are hurting and are looking for a source of healing beyond the natural. However, I am going to pass it. I stand on the biblical view of discipleship. Thanks for the review.

I like your comment that the author presented a "gentle and open-hearted" style of writing with no preachiness. Thanks for your thoughtful review.

A good book about religion and spirituality that can be read by any individual with an open mind. Thanks for your informative review! :tiphat:

A nice inspirational information in the book "SPIRITUALITY Modern Disciples of Jesus Christ" by Bettina E Obernuefemann. The interesting thing is that this book is a product of her spiritual study while healing from the PTSD due to the abuse in her childhood.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

"SPIRITUALITY Modern Disciples of Jesus Christ" by Bettina E Obernuefemann.
Spiritually I respect the search for understanding. Reaching anyway possible to get to the source of things happening and life itself. Indeed it is a very spiritual book from the author's point of view, shaped by fixed believings of a tale. A story like any other one used through out the centuries to harm others in the name of "Jesus". To divide people using labels majority doesn't even really know nor understand trully, like what is good or wrong. The whole concept make me sick because it has a very hypocrite foundation, and it is hypocrite. The bible was make by drunk male humans NOT by God. The smart part about it, is that it is filled by universal questions anyone could resonate with and very convenient answers (for some).
As a book I would read it if I hadn't any other book to read.
Thank you for sharing anyway.

I generally tend to avoid religious books, but hearing the fact that it doesn't seem like a piece of proselytising material is very heartening. Thanks for the review!

With a philosophical perspective of metaphysics, then it becomes a rewarding volume for such desperate times. I love the fact that the book is not baised. This sheds light to the riddles of life!

From the review, reading this books sounds like an excellent way to spend an afternoon. Although it's not exactly my area of interest, I am pleased to read that it is a book of comfort rather than preaching. Sharing one's views is valuable; condemning others for not accepting them is another. I congratulate the author on what seems to be a genuine outpouring of love and solace.

Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

An interesting Christianity work that helps someone overcome a trauma he/she has been through. This is an amazing book that the author exposed the reader to. Nice review.
