Moon has a unique and inspiring journey to Christianity. I also like the Korean part of the story, as I believe there'll be something to learn - more insight. This seems like a good Christian read.

The book sounds interesting but memoirs are not my cup of tea and neither I am a religious person so I think this book is not for me. Still I'm sure the book will find its reader. The review is very enthusiastic and the author did have a very challenging life and had to grow up and tend for himself at a very early age when children should be children, behave carelessly, enjoy their life and look at the world through rose-tinted glasses. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This is a very inspiring story told by a man who seems neither sorry for himself or angry about the circumstances that life dealt him. I like that the book emphasized how close he was with his family and that they kept those close bonds even when obstacles got in their paths. I also like that the author discovered religion later in life and through positive experiences with the chaplain. It just proves to me that one person really can make a difference in someone's life.

Escaping North Korea to South Korea, surviving a phase of dodging bullets during the Korean war, and many other difficulties earns today's writer the well deserved title of "The Bulletproof Missionary". It appears there are some gory scenes, but I'm intrigued by his life.

I was sceptical at first about the book, but your review won me over. Many thanks for such a detailed summary.

As a fellow Christian, it would be intriguing to find out how Shang Ik Moon encountered Christ despite the hardships he faced in his younger years.

The story sounds like the author encountered alot of hardships from a young age, but I am. Glad that he found God in the midst of his troubles. Great review!

From his Korean upbringing to all of the harsh realities and hardships that he experienced in early childhood and beyond, it sounds like this brave man found a way to adapt and overcome. And his altruistic work as a missionary is commendable. Thank you for this informative review.

"The bulletproof missionary" by Keriz Rosado - A little boy parted from his beloved father because of war and politics. The little boy, Moon in North Korea, and his father in South Korea could only get together for a few days at a time. Together they were both happy. Apart, Moon missed his father and wondered if he would ever live with him as a family? A poignant beginning to a wonderful life story, well worth reading. As suggested in the compassionate review.

A true story about a Korean missionary who was left destitute and without a family. It is remarkable how he became a Christian after meeting a chaplain. It seems like an interesting story suitable for Christians.

I am looking forward to digging into this novel to get into Moon’s journey as he navigated life through all the hardships and challenges until getting enlightenment and becoming a missionary. He experienced life in North and South Korea and that is intriguing. A surefire drama about family and relationships.

A real-life story about strength, faith and resilience, as we journey along with Moon through adventures and mishaps. Moon's choice of Christianity in the face of generational religions is startling and admirable. This sounds like a tremendous account. Thanks for an awesome review.

Life could deal one with hard blows a lot of the time. What is most important is what we make out of it and this seems evident in Moon's life. He was able to walk through life, shaped by difficulties and still found reason to give back because someone else gave to him. This book is sure filled with lots of lessons. Thanks for a beautiful review.i enjoyed reading it
