I am looking forward to digging into this novel to find out how sisters Sharon and Lisa will be able to succeed through life challenges as the latter battled her addiction and medical conditions. It seemed to be a heavy family drama focused on the relationship of the siblings.

Thank you for your great review. From the sample, it felt like a very honest book. I like memoirs that come from different person's points of view. Being so different from someone you care about can make understanding them very hard at times. I have added it to my list of books to read so I can find out for sure where Lisa is in her life now.

I hope their book helps other people. Every story has two sides. We need each other.

I love how the two sisters each tell their own story. The sample pages started out with Sharon thinking about Lisa's intervention. You can see how deeply they cared for each other. This does seem like an emotional read. Thanks for the compelling recommendation!

I have only read the sample but I am already wanting to read more. It seems as if the two sisters could not be more different yet seem emotionally linked as only siblings can be.

I guess that Lisa got back to her life predicting from your review information, "hurt, hindered, and healed". I believe Lisa came back to her senses after the confrontation with her sister and mother. Thanks for the informative review and congrats on BOTD

Addiction is a strong societal issue with many victims. I like that the memoir highlights this through the stories. Congratulations on the BOTD.

An emotional, heartwarming memoir of two sisters facing lifes challenges together. It must have taken great courage and strength of relationship for the sisters to write this book together. Thanks for the review!

This book brings out the ideal meaning of sisterhood through the characters,Sharon and Lisa who even through tough times stuck together. The situation was due to there parent's divorce hence had to live without a father figure.I was particularly intrigued by their relationship.

Sharon and Lisa seem to have passed through a lot of difficult situations indeed. I don't know if this non-fiction book is for me since I recently read a book about addiction and I'm not interested in reading another one right now. However, it sounds engaging and interesting too. Congrats on BOTD for the author! Thanks for the review!

Non-fiction, memoir, family drama - three strikes, out. Unfortunately, this is most definitely not my type of preferred reading material. I like fiction in most genres, because it has imagined words and stories. This book is too close to reality and real social issues I try to avoid in my entertainment. Still, congrats on the BOTD!

I love to read memoirs because they tell real stories in the words of the ones who lived them. I'll love to read this in particular as it portrays family, friendship and healing. Thanks for an amazing review.

Diabetic at 6 years old!? How terrible.
It's crazy how two people can live through many of the same tragedies and deal with them in totally opposite ways. I'm really looking forward to checking this one out for myself. Thanks for a great review.

It was interesting to read, because I also have a sister and in some points I can feel my situation.

The #BOTD is proof that two individuals raised the same can turn out to be completely different. Success in one sister and the path of addiction for the other is profound. I agree that every person is responsible for how they shape their lives. Great review!
