It's nice that the author goes into detail about his experiences in different parts of the world – I'm sure readers who enjoy learning about different places and cultures would be really appreciative. Thanks for the great review!

Your review was awesome! Great work!!

Today's BOTD is Book 2 in the autobiographical series written by Tom Wick. It focuses on his time aboard the CG-21 while serving in the US Navy. In this volume, Tom also dives deeper into the abuse and emotional trauma he faced in Book 1. Learning about and traveling to various places across the globe alongside Tom on his journey of self-discovery and growth is an experience readers will not soon forget. Thank you so much for your review! I've added this to my WTR list! :-)

I probably would have to read the first part of this book to decide if I'd be reading this. It sounds like it'll be a whole lot to take in. Thanks for a honest review

I wondered how interesting the 2nd volume would be. I briefly checked it out after learning about the 1st volume. The little bit I read, I was bored about the ship's history I read in the first few pages. But it sounds like the book is interesting talking about ship life & his travels. I guess I just need to get past the first few pages talking about the ship's history/details and read farther on and give it more of a chance.
Thanks for the great review, better explaining the book to me, and bringing me more interest in it.

This volume details the author's life in the US Navy. It's interesting that he touches a lot of subject, not just the years of serving. However, it's not a book I would read.

I'm not a fan of autobiographies but the book sounds interesting. It shows how the author tries to cope with the abuse he experienced in his childhood sometimes sinking into depression and sometimes getting up. It is also good that the author included a brief history of various places, their culture, and different landmarks and tourist attractions. I find it really exciting. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Sexual abuse is a horrendous experience; I can't imagine the horrors the author went through. That being said, I'm glad he found purpose and contentment in his job as a naval officer.

I like detailed autobiographies that recreate a certain sphere of an author's life such as his career. Thanks for the well-written review.

This maybe the second book of this series but at least Tom was getting better each day and overcoming the abuse he endured when younger. This shows that everyone can overcome things when you least expect it.

"When Life Doesn't Turn Out The Way We Hoped It Would? Volume 2" by Tom Wick - The author has original ways of writing detail which provides complete information that is palatable. He uses this technique for biographical detail. We learn about Tom's coping skills and how he spends his free time in exotic places. Great review, thanks.

Volume 1 of this book was just the BOTD a few days ago. Congratulations to the author for BOTD, and thanks to the official OBC reviewer for the honesty in the review.

The way the author turned his life around is inspiring. I’ll check out his story. It’s great that he already published volume 2!
