The idea of a mother's love, which is indescribable, has always fascinated me. Stephen Manning narrates the tale of his relationship with Mary Ann, from the moment he fell in love with her to the moment she breathed her last and died. The moments of their close bond are described in great detail throughout the book. Her last dance at her son's wedding is Highlighted as a testament to Mary Ann's resilience. It seems like a book full of a wide range of feelings. It is deserving of being BOTD.

Read the first chapter and my heart already breaks for this man and his trials. I love his courage to be willing to share his and his wife’s story. Thanks for the review.

This is an amazing and a heartwarming read😁...Mr Stephen should pose as a role model to husbands and fathers out there. His unwavering love for his wife is just so beautiful and Mary Ann was a sweet and loving woman making every moment of their life a memorable one😁.. even unto their death
Indeed an interesting one 😁
Congrats BOTD 🥳

"Last Dance" by Stephen Manning is a book that the author dedicated to his late wife Mary Ann. Throughout the book, the author particularly emphasized Mary Ann's qualities as a devoted mother and lovely lady. It is interesting that the author also wrote in detail about his travel experiences.

I think it's beautiful that Stephen immortalised his wife's memory and honoured her with this book. Their journey sounds beautiful. Unfortunately, I don't read nonfiction, so I may have to skip this one.

Your review of Last Dance really captured the essence of Stephen Manning’s heartfelt tribute to his late wife, Mary Ann. I appreciate how you highlighted the deep and unwavering love that Stephen had for Mary Ann throughout their life together. It’s evident that his commitment to her and their family was a central theme in the book.

Your mention of the travel experiences adds a nice touch, showcasing how Stephen's career influenced their life together and broadened their horizons. It’s interesting to hear how these personal anecdotes and the family’s journey were presented, even if some aspects felt a bit slow-paced.

I can understand how the detailed work-related sections might detract from the emotional core of the story. It seems like Stephen’s dedication to his career was another layer of his devotion to Mary Ann, but I agree that sometimes focusing too much on these details can shift the spotlight away from the heart of the narrative.

Overall, your review paints a clear picture of a touching and well-edited memoir. It’s great to know that despite a few pacing issues, the book’s genuine portrayal of grief and love made a lasting impact. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

What a beautiful story to tell. By taking the time to write the story of his wife, it shows his love and adoration for her. I hope this reaches the masses to help others cope or experience love and loss through another's eyes.

Love stories, mainly those true to life, are heartwarming and uplifting. I'm not a reader of memoirs, so this one isn't for me. But for those who enjoy such books, I'm certain this will appeal to them and many others.

This sounds like an interesting story, and like.itnisna book that could benefit from stronger editing. Pacing issues and storylines which are not relevant to the larger theme of the book are red flags for me. I'll give it a try, but am leary based on the review.

'Last Dance by Stephen Manning follows a linear path—each chapter unlocks tidbits and offers snapshots of their lives. The author describes the first moment he laid eyes on Mary Ann to her final breath when she succumbed to her illness and everything in between.'
This memoir will sound interesting.
