While marked as a Christian book, sounds like the challenges and struggles shared in the book are universal to everyone. The lessons on perseverance and determination, thus, are also universal and relatable to everyone. Great review!

Perseverance and determination and two very useful attributes that one can have. I am glad that this book has lessons on these two attributes, and also that they are taught in a relatable manner through the life of Charles.

The book seems like a faith-based memoir that looks into discrimination and racial profiling in African-American communities. Congratulations on Book of the Day!

I may have to take a longer look at this story of a man who persevered through the challenges in his life and relied on God to guide him. It sounds very inspiring.

This book teaches perseverance and determination. However, it's not a book I'm interested in reading.

Thanks for the great review. I enjoy nonfiction books where people admit about their mistakes and their successes. I agree with you that the way the author wrote, I could also place myself in his shoes and what he might feel.

The review is so clear and intriguing but I don't read religious books so it's a pass for me. Thank you for the review though.

Although I don't think a lot of people will enjoy this book due to it being on the religious side, I believe people could learn a lot from the author's journey. As a Christian, I love this book mainly because it portrays how God intervenes in the lives of his children. Wonderful book indeed.

This book tells a good story about faith, persistence, and devotion. I'm not interested in books with religious mentions. So, I will still pass on it. However, readers looking for an inspirational book will love this work.
