Accounts of war are quite interesting. The book addresses sensitive topics such as Racism and i am also glad that it was suspenseful. I would also love to see how the author talked about this sensitive issues in such a short book. Congratulations to the author on winning BOTD! The reviewer did an excellent job on the review.

This book sounds excellent based on the review. I love reading non-fiction, especially around this content, and it's content you don't see very often, as the review indeed indicates.

It’s cool to get a different perspective of Vietnam from a black veteran. I sometimes enjoy short books, so I might add it to my reading list.

I think it is good that the author offered readers a different perspective on the Vietnam War. Billy Springer focuses on social history and racial discrimination.

Unfortunately, I will have to skip this book, because war stories, Vietnam or soldier's of any race are most certainly not my cup of tea. I have little to none interest in those topics and memories about times of extreme violence are not something I would like to dedicate my time on. Anyway, congrats with BOTD!

This is a non- fiction story of a black soldier that served in Vietnam, and his experience there.
Although I rarely read historical fiction, I'd love to give this a try so as to know nwhat happened in the Vietnam war.
Thanks for the clear review.

I love this book because the author potrayed the real picture of the Vietnam war story compared to other books i read before..not only that but also i real enjoyed the author’s recollection of how the Vietnamese reacted to black Americans and how this differed from their view of white people. Unlike most Vietnam War stories, the Vietnamese in this story are portrayed as real, rounded individuals...nice review at all..

I am usually careful about non-fiction war stories due to the reality and surreal nature of wars. Vietnam War is an unfortunate part of human history and combining it with racial discrimination makes the book quite heavy. Must be a worthy read. Congratulations on the BOTD.

The aspect of the book is quite interesting, a black soldier fighting at war and back at home a civil rights movement on the same.

A book giving a side of the story to the Vietnam war is utterly interesting. Yes, racism is not just for the blacks, it applies to all races. I'd love to read what takes the book has inside it's covers.

The reviewer was concise and informative. I don't usually read historical nonfiction, but the author, a veteran, highlights enemies that one would not have thought were possible.

I like that the author examines the race discrimination aspect of the Vietnam war which other authors of the same story ignored. Congrats to the author on being the book of the day!
