Take the reins of “Storms” in your life and soar high to reach your destination like an eagle with this book. The author poses insightful questions about storms in our lives and how to address them and use them to our advantage to soar high. A key takeaway from this book is that we must accept our vulnerabilities to move forward in life. I loved reading your review.

Meehan points out that one of the main lessons is trying to get a hold of quiet moments in the midst of all the bustle. Her S.T.O.R.M.S. acronym gives practical tips like being still, treating oneself kindly, and pouring out your grief. Congrats on #BOTD

The acronyms used in S.T.O.R.M.S are clear and well explained. The author used her experience of losing her home in Florida, a peninsula, because of a major hurricane. Her experiences helped shape her, and I can learn much from her advice and stories. Thanks for the review!

"Choose to Soar" is a book that helps readers overcome life's challenges. The author highlights that taking the first step toward recovery can be difficult, as is taking action. I strongly agree with this statement because it is the starting point. An OBC reviewer has given a comprehensive overview of this promising book. I have added it to my TBR list. Congratulations to the author for being awarded the BOTD title.

Life is full of storm-like challenges. If one is careful, these challenges can pull them down. Encouraging books like this help to deal with these storms. So I don't mind reading books like this.

The analogy of storms shaping our lives is powerful, and it seems like "Choose to Soar: Navigating Disruptions in Business and Life" provides a structured approach to understanding and overcoming these challenges. The STORMS tool sounds like a practical framework for navigating difficult times and emerging stronger.

Not sure if I agree with the concept as a whole, but I am glad the author was able to develop the system to aid her in difficult situations. We all have our own defensive mechanisms and I believe they must be customized, but it is possible that someone will find helpful advice in the strategy offered, and wholeheartedly thank you for gifting this book! Congratulations on BOTD!

Choose to Soar is a book that explores the theme of storms and their potential to shape our lives. The book is divided into three parts, with the first part containing three chapters. Annie Meehan introduces the concept of storms and their impact on our lives, using the metaphor of an eagle using storms to thrive. The book then delves into the different types of storms and their classifications in our lives, using Maslow's hierarchy of needs to explain the five levels of needs that people need.
Chapter 2 discusses the different types of storms and how they can be categorized in our lives, using Maslow's hierarchy of needs to explain the five levels of needs that people need. Chapter 3 provides a Storm First Aid Kit to help navigate through tough times, and the following chapters will teach readers how to use the STORMS to realize their best version of themselves.
Meehan's personal experience of losing her family, including her mother, stepmother, stepbrother, and father, serves as a powerful analogy for navigating hardships. She uses the analogy of an eagle to illustrate how storms can be used as stepping stones to achieve greatness in life. The chapter on openness encourages readers to embrace vulnerability and seek help from others, such as family, friends, and professionals.
The book provides solutions for storms to manifest in professional, personal, and literal lives, emphasizing the importance of helping others to heal themselves. The author's message is that helping others can speed up the healing process, making Choose to Soar a highly recommended resource for anyone struggling or healing. The book's wisdom will help readers rise above obstacles and realize their potential.

It's great that the author chose to soar despite all the challenges, tragedies, and storms she faced; that's really inspiring. However, I don't read self-help/nonfiction, so I'll pass on this book.

This is Annie Meehan’s personal journey and her troubles after facing Hurricane IAN and it is full of lessons on how to seek and learn to accept support, as you pointed out in your review. Thanks, I really enjoyed reading it!
