I don't know what muscle atrophy means, but it has to be a great change going from being perfectly healthy to needing a caregiver. It's great the author had her way of dealing with this. However, I don't read nonfiction, so I'll pass on this one.

Great review Jenna seems to be a person to be admired because her condition did not let her be bullied and also how it shows people the danger hard drugs can bring in their lives.

enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Some of the stories of Jeanne's encounters with her various PCAs were quite shocking as well as interesting. The stories showed how different people can be and the negative effects of drugs on these PCAs. The stories were like listening to juicy gossip, and I did not want to stop listening to them. I liked how Jeanne related to her PCAs. She always seemed to give them a chance to change or to be better until they decided to blow the chance .
I really like this and want more books like this .and i would like to recommend this to every reader and book lover.

My boyfriend and I have home care for his mom, and it is quite eye-opening to see how the different nurses treat her. I can only imagine how the author felt knowing she was going to need care like this, especially since this means more dependence on others. Thanks for the review!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting memoir about the author's experience suffering from Muscle Dystrophy and the author's encounters with numerous Personal Care Attendants. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Sudden changes in life can be difficult. How Jeanne dealt with her illness of Muscle Dystrophy can be enlightening and inspiring. I would also like to know her encounter with different Personal Care Assistants.

"Helpers Anonymous" is a raw, honest, and at times shocking memoir that pulls back the curtain on the challenges of living with a disability and navigating the world of personal care attendants (PCAs). Jeanne Tiberio's candid recounting of her encounters with various PCAs is equal parts eye-opening and compelling, providing a window into the best and worst of humanity.

Ashley Gatti's narration is clear and straightforward, allowing Tiberio's words to take center stage. This audiobook is a must-listen for anyone seeking to understand the realities of life with a disability and the importance of compassionate care.

The review on the book "Helpers Anonymous" by Jeanne Tiberio is so inspiring and full of lessons. Drug abuse has its negative sides that should be watched over. And Jeannie's courage even with her disability is quite encouraging. No one is limited with or without a disability. Nice book full of inspiration and lessons. It's a must read.
