:tiphat: We all dream of having our own business, of being an entrepreneur, but not everyone takes into account how difficult it is to start a business, how long it takes to create profits, that many times your employees earn more than you.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting self help book designed to assist individuals in the entrepreneurship business using a four step process. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

With inflation and the current economy, everyone needs a side job that would help break them out of the matrix. This book looks like a good start on that path.

I've come to understand that opening a business is not as easy as business owners make it seem. This book will be a perfect guide for incoming business owners. Congratulations on book of the day.

As I dove into Start. Scale. Exit. Repeat. by Colin C. Campbell, I immediately felt like I was being guided by someone who truly understands the entrepreneurial journey from the inside out. Campbell’s experience as a serial entrepreneur, having founded and exited multiple companies, gives the book a raw authenticity that most business guides lack. I could tell that he wasn’t just writing from a theoretical standpoint—these were lessons learned through trial and error, hard-earned successes, and even a few failures along the way.

One of the things that struck me the most was the clarity with which he broke down each phase of the business lifecycle. From the excitement (and chaos) of launching a startup, to the strategic scaling required to take it to the next level, and finally, the often-overlooked process of exiting the business at the right time. Campbell doesn’t just stop at exiting, though; he dives into what it takes to pick up and repeat the process, turning entrepreneurship into a repeatable and scalable system. For someone like me who has dreams of building multiple ventures, this felt incredibly empowering.

What really added depth to the book were the interviews with other successful entrepreneurs. Hearing their stories helped me see that I wasn’t alone in the challenges I’ve faced. Whether it’s dealing with the complexities of scaling or making tough decisions about when to exit, these stories added layers of real-world insight. At times, I found myself thinking, “If only I’d read this book before, I might have avoided some of the mistakes I’ve made.”

The conversational tone made complex concepts accessible, and Campbell’s own journey—marked by both failures and incredible successes—made me feel like I was learning from someone who’s been through the trenches. His blend of humility, storytelling, and expert advice makes Start. Scale. Exit. Repeat. not just a business manual but a guide for any entrepreneur who wants to keep growing, learning, and succeeding.

From the review - this looks like a book I should read. I have struggled with this issue. The review was easy to read and covered how things are laid out in the book. Very helpful. It also talked about the pros and the con of the book. It mentioned the flow of the book too. That is super important! I have put this book in my Amazon wish list for now.

offers clear insight and practice into what it takes to become a serial entrepreneur. Breaking down the process into the four key components of start, scale, exit, and repeat not only provides an effective framework for creating and growing businesses, but also highlights the importance of perseverance and the ability to learn from each experience.

Thank you for your informational review. I'm glad you enjoyed the book and found it useful. From sampling it, it seemed he wrote it straight-forward. I always appreciate it when authors are honest in nonfiction books. I hope many readers will learn and appreciate from this book. There are a lot of entrepreneurs nowadays. At this stage in my life, I don't foresee my starting a business, so I will pass on it.

I think anyone that's starts a business, in the end worries that it would be unsuccessful, and I believe due to this a couple of great businesses lies dormant, as the entrepreneur/s just don't want to take the risk. I think this book can be a great help to not only start but also have the backup when things seems to go downhill. I'm definitely interested to read this. Thanks for a great review. Congrats on BOTD.

This review is really nice! Definitely has me thinking about reading more than just the sample and adding this title to my book shelf. I have always wanted to have my own business or two sooner than later and I like how you noted how easy and straightforward the author executed the flow of the book. I think this will help me plan out how I should go about my journey to becoming my own boss. Knowing that the author has shared light on their experiences through trial and error is another valuable tool that will help me not make the same mistakes. I also immediately wanted to read this book due to how the cover page is put together. I believe this plays a big part in attracting a reader to a book. As I’ve mentioned before ill be adding this title to my list of books to read. What a fantastic review!
