In brief, I found a lot of aspects of this book immediately rather off-putting, even though the writing was frequently quite interesting. Once I got past those aspects and reflected on the content more deeply, I found the book did actually have a lot of insight to offer - hopefully the rest of the book continues making those insights more accessible.
