The Jim Crow laws, history of the country & thought provoking. They are all up my ally. Meaning I'm fascinated by them. Thank you for a very powerful review.

It's good to learn about the American history and the historical figures that contributed in making America a great nation. Why did American greatness decline? Are there hopes to make it great again? I will read the book to find out.

“America in Context: A Pursuit of the Exemplary" by Bob Dowell is a fascinating read that dives into what makes America, well, America. Dowell mixes history with personal stories to show how the "American Dream" has changed and fits into the bigger picture globally. His writing is easy to follow and shares relatable examples that make you think about our national values. Overall, it’s a remarkable book that gets you reflecting on America’s past and what it could be in the future. Definitely worth checking out if you’re curious about the country's identity!

History is how we can learn what to do and what not to do. The author has done a great job showing Americans what we can do to value, appreciate, and retain what made America so great. Thanks for the review!

Unfortunately, despite the quite enticing description the reviewer gave this book, I will still have to pass it, because I am not interested in the subject and don't need an introductory guide to American history. Don't get me wrong, I am aware enough to understand the importance the historical figures mentioned had on their society, but I don't believe them all that notable outside the country. All the same, congratulations on BOTD!

The book isn't just about the negative aspects of American history. It celebrates the nation's triumphs and the individuals who embodied its ideals. It's inspiring to read about figures who strived for a more perfect union.

History is very important and I would like to know Bob Dowell's opinion on the values upon which America was founded.

In light of Bob Dowell's belief that America has lost its essence, I will suggest that history of this nature be taught in schools. Nice review!

When we are walking through time, it is critical that we remember all the mistakes and triumphs that our ancestors made so that we can progress forward and continue to improve and develop ourselves. This book sounds like a great place to analyze America's history and watch how we can learn from them to go forward.
