I haven't tried an audiobook yet, but you make the idea sound appealing. I like how the author narrates the book himself; it surely makes the emotions more realistic and authentic, giving the reader a better insight into the author's thoughts. Thanks for the recommendation.

Isn't it crazy how listening to a book really changes how we experience it? I usually find a lot of dialogue in written work to be cumbersome, but when listening to the audiobook, it feels natural and conversational.

Good review! This book is probably not my cup of tea, as I don't tend to find personal narratives all that compelling, but I appreciated your insight into what made this book worthwhile.

"Dragons to Butterflies" by Johnnie Calloway is an audiobook memoir in which the author recalls his life. The author's childhood was not easy because he was abused, later he was also an addict, but in the end he became a successful author.

The review is beautiful and expresses the book accurately. With what the author went through and his achievement of success. Even small parts of the experiences find readers who relate to them. Which makes sharing it important. Especially the ones that motivate hope. Congrats on BOTD

This review provides a heartfelt and insightful perspective on Dragons and Butterflies. The praise for Johnnie Calloway's honest narration and his journey of resilience is compelling. Highlighting the book's motivational aspects and addressing minor flaws like sound inconsistencies adds balance. It’s a thoughtful recommendation for memoir enthusiasts and those battling addiction.

The author describes his journey from being an abused child to his life as an addict, and finally to his becoming a successful author. He supports the Twelve Step Program and a Course in Miracles to overcome obstacles. Also, he presents the ups and downs of his life to help others. I like the ending of the review!

Many of us have lived through trauma and some atrocities done to us, and we've made awful mistakes causing harm in some way to our own selves and maybe those we love. This very well-written review helps me see that, through reading (or listening) to this book, one could maybe take solace in as well as learn something substantial... maybe even help someone else.

As an avid reader, I tend to "pass" when it's an audiobook. Having read this review, it makes me want to give it a shot. This book would be a great way to start.

My standpoint on "Dragons to Butterflies" by Johnnie Calloway is that the abuse which he suffered from home fuelled his addiction to drugs. A good thing it is that he rose from grass to Grace. Congrats on being BOTD. Nice review.

It's pretty amazing for the author to know he came from abusive relationship while he was a child, he done good. because he never let that circumstances to be opstircles in his life. He chooses the right way, with his all obligation and archive his dreams at the end. I wish this could be a lesson to all the children'stha grow or grew in abusive relationship to see there's a success after everything.

This book completely transformed my understanding of personal growth. It wasn't just another self-help book filled with empty platitudes. Calloway's approach, using the metaphor of transforming from a "dragon" – representing our limiting beliefs and negative behaviors – to a "butterfly" – embodying our full potential – resonated deeply with me. It provided a powerful framework I could actually use to analyze my own life and identify areas where I was holding myself back.
