Managing with Respect written by James P. DuBreuil outlines how people are an essential asset to a company and how managing with respect can help in retaining those people. Not only does it look at the people but also at the company. Does the company share and have the same mission and vision when it comes to people?
The Managing with Respect model and concept can be applied to customers, employee, shareholder and much more. I already like that it looks at people and also at bottom lines which in today's economy can be challenging. Looks like it is a short read filled with valuable and insightful information.

Thank you for the well - detailed review. As an employee, I'm tempted to think of it as a book for my boss, but as an aspiring entrepreneur I find it to be very useful. As it teaches more than just respect, but general managerial skills, I look forward to reading it.

This book sounds like it can be applied to other interactions outside the office, perhaps you could use some of the techniques strengthen interpersonal relationships. Might give this book a read and see if it can be useful to me in anyway

I love the concept this author presents, that everyone, no matter the situation, should be treated with respect. I can think of a couple of managers in my past that I wish had read this book! I don't think I'll be picking it up as business standard and procedures are not my cup of tea, however. Great detailed review!

Managing with respect sounds like a novel concept to some managers I’ve encountered but I hope to be a manager someday and would consider it a pleasure to apply the Golden Rule.

Sounds like an interesting book. I studied for an MBA and the four principals of management were planning, organizing, and control. So this book will definitely be interesting for me to read. A comprehensive review which was very informative.

Respect is a vital component not only in managing people but also in maintaining a harmonious relationship with people around you. I'm not a fan of nonfiction books but I will give this book a try as I want to read more of the author's points.

I would have really loved to present this book as a gift to a former manager who could learn a thing or two about respect and open communication with the team. Your review makes me want to read this book in the near future so that I too can be a better manager.

Sounds like a fantastic, informative book on business leadership, one of my favorite topics. Having been in operations management for 15 years, I’ve read many of these types of books and I appreciate all the different perspectives. Congrats on botd!

I read a little of "Managing With Respect" by James P DuBreuil but it really wasn't the genre that I enjoy reading. It did have some interesting points about performance in the workforce but the author took too long to get those points. It really went on and on where I felt it could have came quicker to what the author was trying to get at. In other words it was just too lengthy. I would have to give it 2 out of 5 stars.

Managing Human Resources is something that one has to be trained to do and this book sounds like a great learning material. Gaining experience as time goes on is also necessary because books can’t really teach everything. Great review.
