This sounds like an informative and emotional read containing personal stories. It’s great it helps to break stereotypes of single mothers.

It's always good to read about others point of view. So this one about the challenges of being a single mom is welcome. Nice review.

The subject sound interesting. Addressing the different terms that single mothers have been tagged with by society based on their choices in life. I think the stories shared by single moms in the book may be an eye-opening for most readers, especially those who share something in common with the featured moms' stories. I'm not a mother yet, but Id love to hear the stories shared in the book. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

This is a book that's got me hooked by the title itself. This is definitely on my to-read book list now. Thank you for sharing your review. It's brilliant. Being a mother itself is a tough job. I salute all the women who are doing such a tough job solo! I can't wait to read this book. Best BOTD!

Seriously? What you got from this is that moms are responsible? Either parent can be the cause of a broken marriage or relationship. The idea (or reality) of single moms has been around for decades.

Shared experiences are a way to motivate and give support to other people who are experiencing similar situations. Many women will be able to relate to the stories in this volume. You did a wonderful job of showing readers what themes they can find in the stories. Thanks.

I became excited when I read the synopsis of this book. A book and organization to help and encourage single moms. I wish it had been available a couple of decades ago.
Then, I read into the first chapter and have to say I was disappointed. A book purported to be there to uplift and encourage single moms started off really dark and depressing. I'm not saying those stories should not be included in the book, but someone down, looking for encouragement may not continue after the first few pages. I believe those darker stories should be told, they deserve to be told. But, start the book out with encouragement and smiles, as that is what the target audience is in need of.

I do not know what is wrong with the world for such things to happen and at such a large scale. What a tough life those moms and their children have. As you said, the beginner of the series, the judge, casts a good light of hope on it all.
Men are absent but not ill-spoken. I feel sorry for them too, not being able to stay in a relationship, to help raise their own children. How lonely they must be, and with their self-respect in shreads.
A great idea writing this book and at such high standards.
Thank you for the great review!

This book exposes, through tales and poems, stories of many single mothers of different races, ethnicities, orientations, and communities. A work that supports single mothers, highlighting that similar things happen to other women and that they are not alone in the world.

Women are so amazingly strong, and I love how this book was able to capture how women have endured and pushed through to overcome obstacles. I completely agree with your idea of how stereotypes are often pushed onto single moms, but we don't know their situation. This sounds like an awesome read!

As a new mother, this book sounds encouraging. Luckily, I'm not doing it solo, but it helps to understand the experiences of those that are. The mini-titles sound entertaining.

Hmmmm! This book anyways. Solo moms are everywhere. Most ladies who are now solo moms don't like guys who are honest and average income earners
They like fancy men who has no reputation, with all infatuation, they give in; and sooner or later, they become solo mom roaming around the streets searching for true love at the odd hours.

I lived in such an experience, so I don't think I will be reading this book, but I can see how this book could encourage those going through it, come out of it damaged, or learning about those who have lived through such circumstances. We should be thankful for our parents, whether they've gone through raising a child alone or together. Thank you for the review and book recommendation.
