I feel as though through these reviews that I am living through many of the triumphs and struggles of the author. I like that he broke up his life story into volumes so that the information was easier to understand and connect with as a reader. This is very rare among authors especially those that commit to writing their memoirs. I also liked that the author continued his use of photos to give the reader a better sense of what he experienced during his travels.

The author shares his experience in the US Navy and the experiences he underwent. Inspiring and enlightening too, especially when it comes to the places he got to visit. Great descriptions.

It's amazing that photographs are attached in the book, it's always great to put a picture to descriptive words.

It is a kind of story that gives you a reason to live right. It makes me think more about resilience. I hope the author will do the needful. The book deserves more. Great review!

I think it's a great idea how the author incorporated his traveling adventures while serving in the Navy, making it easier to pallet some of the more serious and sensitive content. Drug abuse and grief are difficult to deal with, and I think many readers will be able to relate to some of the things the author experienced. The fact that Tom Wick has completed three volumes depicting his journey is commendable. I appreciate the honest and detailed review! Thanks!

Thank you for your review. Thank you also to OLBC for putting all 3 volumes together. I wish I liked this book but it’s not for me.

This is the third book of this author's series of autobiographies. It seems to bring a lot of his sea adventures, but some aspects about his experiences with trauma, abuse, and drugs too. I don't think it is for me since it seems too repetitive and triggering for me, but congrats on BOTD to the author! Thanks for the review!

Secret ceremonies, rituals, struggles, and triumphs would have to be shared with a great deal of candor in order to be relatable. It sounds like this collection of grouped books has a great deal to offer, to the right sort of reader, but I’m not sure that I’d be a good fit. Thank you for your honest feedback.

This is the third and final volume in the series of memoir. Congratulations to the author for BOTD, and thanks to the one who did the review for the honest writing. I hoped that the memoir did not contain that many errors and only included pertinent information so that it won't have much impact on the book's rating.

This book is shows the adventures that happen during the sea voyage and what had happen during the time of the voyage. This shows readers that you can do anything you want as long as you put your heart to it.

This sounds an interesting third instalment of the authors memoir. The inclusion of exciting sea voyages and initiations sounds captivating, and I like how despite life being not what the author expected, he lived it fully. Thanks for a great review.

Today's BOTD is Book 3 in the autobiographical series written by Tom Wick. In this volume we learn more about Tom's life in the Navy, as he works to make amends with his past. In addition to his personal journey, Tom also continues his travels across the globe. Filled with beautiful photos, adventure, and vivid descriptions, this sounds like a must-read to me! Thank you for the helpful review! :-)

Stories like this make you marvel at the human spirit. After all his failures, triumphs, travels, and struggles he just wanted his father to love him. I liked your insights about the author's writing and descriptions. Thanks for the captivating recommendation.

The author continued to throw in history, Navy trivia, travel tips, and his life experiences in this third volume. Sadly, he failed to achieve a cohesive blend. Editing remained poor, and the book became a mishmash of random notes. "When the book doesn't turn out the way we hoped it would?" summarizes my reading experience.
