It's beautiful the way this man documented the events in his life through verse. That story about his sons seems like a great anecdote to pass through the generations, and this preservation can keep it going and decently accurate! Thanks for writing this review :tiphat:

I was hit with a good bit of nostalgia while reading the sample of this book of poems as the author's style of writing reminds me a good deal of my mother's poetry. His writing put a smile on my face and stirred some warm memories in my heart. Thank you for the great review!

Reading through your review makes me want to read this book although I'm not a lover of poetry. This book might be useful to point one to the things that matter most, which often, we overlook. Thanks for your amazing review

I am looking forward to reading some books inspiring and motivating us during this pandemic and surely this book by Dowell is one. I find poems fascinating and to have those which matter most about life as focus is something we need right now.

I enjoyed reading the sample of this book of poems, especially the introduction where the author relays the story of how he and his wife met, and the beautiful poem for her birthday. These verses in the book speak on many subjects, love, family, God and country. I also liked the poem that linked guidance with God. Thank you for the excellent and enthusiastic review for this book.

Most of the lessons in this simple and impressive "Poems About Things That Mattered Most", by Bob Dowell encompass self examination, and appreciating the supreme nature of God as the giver of life and good things .

I'm not one for reading poems so I don't think that this book will be a good fit for me, but I applaud the author for so skillfully writing so many poems to remind readers of what is most important. Thanks for the interesting review.

Sometimes poems are boring and show too serious. However, from the review, it's good that this compilation is humourous. Good job.

'Official Review: Poems About Things That Mattered Most' by Bob Dowell is informative and enriching! The point that the author's profound love for God, family, and country stood out in every poem is worth mentioning in the review! Also, I found the point that Bob closed the concluding poem with a line appreciating the God-given longevity to enjoy these unique blessings remarkable in the review! The review has a potent introduction and a good ending! Nice to learn that the nature of the poems is thought-provocative that makes us think about things we value most in our life!
