I am looking forward to digging into this book to learn more from this highly regarded word. Mam people seemed to have incorrect expectations about respect, demanding it without doing anything to deserve it. All I know is that we don’t ask or demand for respect because it should be earned based on how you behave and act around people.

Respect is an abstract word; but once you know what it looks like, it is easy to identify. I know what respect means to me and look forward to reading this short book for more examples. Great review!

Books that offer lessons on character-building are always worthy of attention. This book sounds like it promises to be a very elevating, timely and thought-provoking read. I have already added Respect to my shelves and am looking forward to reading it. Thanks for the great review!

I believe that through Dr. Monica's conflict with her mother, I shall be able to understand what to do and how I can earn the respect of both my friends, parents and all my acquaintances. Thank you for your thorough analysis in the review.

I am quite shocked that today's BOTD is classified as non-fiction and not a children's book, because while to someone it might have merit yo me it is useless. It is like in the Onerepublic song "mama raised me well, mama raised me right, " she taught me to be a decent person and that includes everything there is to know about respect.

I like the description in paragraph two, the choice of words, and the flow of events. It increases curiousity.

We all yearn to be respected and it feels good when we are respected by people. I'm sure the book will provide more insight about the subject of respect providing tips of how we can earn respect from people around us. I like that the author has incorporated aspects that cause disrespect in the narrative. This seems to be a fine book to read. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

Respect is the basic need of every man or woman. It is the medium through which every relationship is maintained in society. This book deals with a very important issue and I would like to read through it.

I think parents and their teenage kids will find this book quite beneficial to their relationship as it's a great way to learn about what it means to be respectful and respected. Great review.

It is refreshing to read about the lessons the author learned from her own experiences when she was a teenager. Hopefully, her past will be a motivation for other teenagers and their parents to give and receive respect. Great review!

Excellent review on an excellent book! Respect is rapidly becoming a lost art, so to speak, in today’s society, and I love the author’s take on the many little ways one can show respect for others. I found this book to be a fascinating short read with relatable stories. I especially enjoyed the artwork throughout the book and also found the reflection questions and activities after every section to be an added bonus.

I think that one of the most complex and at times argumentative relationships is the one between a mother and her daughter. I am grateful that the author shared her personal journey towards reconciliation with her and her mom as the basis for her book. I also like the illustrations made by her granddaughter which for me highlighted how important this book is by paving the way for the next generation.

Thanks for your thorough review. This sounds like a good book to help everyone at this time. Many people don't feel respected and don't give respect where it is due. I look forward to reading more.
