This sounds like an honest and unapologetic story with some added humor to get through the tough times. I will be diving into this one next.

A relationship escape style in this #BOTD. Alcoholism and emotional turmoil seem paramount to the author, and this landing on my to read list. Great objective review.

This seems like quite an interesting book, though it's not a subject I usually read about. In addition, I found it interesting that the details about the subject and manner of expression of this book are appealing.
I found the author’s writing style amazing, with such a narrative that hooked the reader from the beginning as well as the informal dialogues.

What a tough fight the author went through. Trying to get through marital problems can be difficult, adding alcoholism compounds it even more. Thanks for the review!

Whilst the themes do seem very interesting and in depth, it’s still unfortunate to see some incoherencies in the plot as stated.

Thank you for your review. The story of Anne is a sad but common story in the world we live in. I can relate to a lot of her sentimentality and steadfastness even as Chris wasn't being an ideal husband. I tend to stay away from books like this for my mental health, but congratulations on book of the day.

I did not kill my husband : but I almost killed myself seems like an interesting book to read, mainly because the title captures my attention. Unfortunately, the review itself seemed quite dull and did not give me much insights on the book. All I could do take out of it was, 'Anne had a bad husband and fell to alcoholism'

This is definately a book that hits home for me. I watched my grandmother go through a marriage with my grandfather while he was in the midst of alcoholism. The only part of the review that I would disagree with is, the use of the words " her claim that Chris died of alcoholism." Being a retired nurse, I can tell you that you will never see a death certificate that says the cause of death is alcoholism. Drinking alcohol to excess over a period of time pretty much affects every system of the body. The alcohol can cause electrolyte imbalance, acid reflux to the point of burning through the esophagus, stomach ulcers, kidney failure, liver failure, cirrhosis of the liver and many many more issues. You can die from any of those things that are caused by the excess consumption of alcohol over a long period of time. Alcoholism may not be on the death certificate but it would be the cause of death by way of another means. Alcohol like drugs cause our body deadly harm everyday and we may not know it until it is too late....I am by no means downing you. I just would not have worded that way is all I am saying because it could be construed as what she felt was insignificant but other than the above, it was a great review. Congrats!!! I will definately finish reading the book for sure.

The title of this memoir is certainly attention getting and makes you wonder what has happened in this person's life. I like that the writing style is easy to understand. Great review!

Dealing with an alcoholic is a very big task to handle especially as it concerns the growth in marriage. Annie is an amazing character for me. Thanks for the review.
