Diet books aren't my thing, so I'll be skipping this. Plus, the unorthodox highlighting of text throughout the book is very, very distracting. Best of luck to the author in finding an appreciative readership.

I like that each chapter is separated into its own categories that tackle its own topics; I think it helps the reader to focus on what they specifically need.

This is such an important subject considering issues like poor self-image, depression, frustration, and diseases associated with and worsened by being overweight. Thank you for your review

I am going to read the whole book , it sounds interesting and provocative towards obese people and the health system. I have been through an ordeal myself about weight; health; cholesterol and dietetics' cannot wait to start reading the book and hear the Authors perspective view.

Losing weight is never fun. But reading this review, seems like I can exercise and not lose my favorite foods to eat. All you need to do is remove processed food from your life? Wow, I believe it. Congrats on the BTOD!

I have never heard of doctors recommending “highly processed” foods in order to lose weight. Losing weight isn’t complicated. It’s a matter of calorie deficit- regardless of which foods are eaten. I believe that is the premise of this book, that readers don’t need to cut out their favorite foods. But claiming that doctors don’t know what they’re talking about is just plain wrong.

I like how the review is written, very clear and straightforward. And I agree with the reviewer that since some of the words are in bold and underlined, it does look sketchy which I think lessens the credibility and the impact on what the author is pointing out.

Different people have different diets and weight loss issues they struggle with. It can be very difficult to start up, maintain and have an effective weight loss journey. This book is very suitable for people or anyone having issues with their weight loss journey.

A nonfictional self-help book for people struggling to lose weight and how to lose weight without cutting down on their favorite food. Also for everyone who needs a diet. Congrats on BOTD and thanks for the detailed and well-written review.

Although this is a brilliant book, it has some flaws. First, as mentioned above, some keywords and phrases are either underlined or written in bold. Although this makes the book easy to read, it also makes it look sketchy. Second, the chapter titles are written in tiny fonts. One can, therefore, easily read through the book without realizing that they are already in a different chapter. Third, although this program worked for the author, some readers may not agree with it, especially considering that the author also encourages the consumption of bread and beer.
You make great points and justified criticisms. Typography can be either a great help in the reading experience or a nuisance. And I don't have a problem with bread or beer, but I don't think we need even more encouragement for people to consume meat when we're experiencing the consequences of climate change.
Thank you for your honest review!

I think everyone is always focused on losing weight immediately but I like how the program worked over the long run for the author. Two years is not too much time when the result is that the weight is not coming back. Great job with the review.

The topic is timely and relevant not only to those who have a weight problem, especially that of overweight concern, but also to those who have loved ones suffering from such; by reading this book that they could provide and support from the knowledge it is offering. Congrats to the author for sharing this!
