In the book "Gateways to Psychotherapy" by Michael Hegarty, he discusses in detail what makes a good psychotherapist. In addition, the author gives practical advice and real examples from her practice. The book is logically organized into seven chapters.

Psychotherapy is a subject I have never read a book on, therefore I think it would be interesting to learn more about it.The positive aspects in the review makes it more promising.

I never was in psychotherapy and probably never will be, because I am a quite private person and sharing my deepest thoughts and feelings, my most dear or painful memories with some stranger, is not something I can be comfortable with. Apologies, but I will have to pass this book and still congrats on BOTD!

Psychotherapy is a very sensitive profession. Hence, it is good that psychotherapists train well and employ every necessary measure to help patients having mental concerns recover completely. I like that the author is very open in handling the topics covered in this book.

I find it quite interesting the author mentions paintings as a part of his book; I never would have coorelated paintings with psychotherapy. Not sure if this is my cup of tea, but I like the fact that it is a business-based book. Thanks for the review!

I respect therapists and occasionally I ponder how they manage to listen to patients for such lengthy periods of time. I'm delighted the author included advice that those considering a career in this field can use. The author deserves praise for this original work.

I am interested in psychotherapy and I may need some for my personal issues as well, so I am glad that this book will also appeal to those who require psychotherapy.

The book seems like it'll be very beneficial to aspiring psychotherapists. I do not really have an interest in this field, but I appreciate how well executed the book is and the information, especially with regard to records, the book contains. Congrats on BOTD.

The book is informative and educational especially for psychotherapists, the author did a great research to put this topic into writing, I think it's a good thing to have an idea about psychotherapy. Wonderful review

I think that the author is in a good place to write this book. Having lost and gone through so much himself and being able to overcome the pain and hardships, he can express empathy or place himself in the shoes of clients. The book provides comprehensive and informative instructions and guidance to therapists. Dealing with cleints/ patients in therapy can be grueling if you are untrained and inexperienced in what to do. Good job to the author on writing this book and for making it to today's read.

A great review giving many examples of reasons that this book would be a good read for anyone interested in pursuing this field of study and also for those already in the field of psychotherapy. Not my cup of tea, but could be very helpful to those interested in this area. Congratulations to the author for BOTD honors.

It’s becoming uncanny how the books picked for BOTD coincide with life. My very existence is being tested and having a good therapist, who’s willing to think outside the box, see and hear more than what is taught in a classroom is imperative to a full recovery. The review is written so the reader can understand what the pages have to offer without disclosing the actual content. This book will be at the forefront of my library. Congrats on # BOTD

This book would be greatly beneficial and help me know closely about psychotherapy because I've not seen a formal setting where this is in place. Congrats on BOTD.
