This book seems very inspiring. I wonder how the author dealt with not being able to walk. The story ar the beginning also seems heart-warming. Congrats on BOTD!

Today's BOTD is a memoir that follows Mike after he was diagnosed with Brown-Séquard syndrome, due to an accident that damaged his spinal cord. Told he would never walk again, Mike didn't take no for an answer. His strength and courage shines brightly and is sure to inspire all readers regardless of their own situation. I've downloaded my copy, and I'm looking forward to hearing his story! Thank you so much for the awesome review! :-)

The book sounds interesting and really inspiring. And though memoirs are not my cup of tea I must admit having read the review that this is really a tale of "overcoming obstacles and creating miracles in life". Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I only read a glimpse of his biography and I felt surge of emotions cruising through. He went through severe physical, marital and mental pain. still, he came out undefeated. This book should be studied to encourage someone going through life's problems.

Thank you for an insightful review of One Step at a Time: Memoir of a Former Quadriplegic by Michael L. McCord. The sample read touches on life before the accident, but it also gives the reader a preview that the author's life and marriage was challenging from the beginning. The author faces the difficulty of revisiting the past and recording it honestly. The emotions evoked in the book gets readers invested in his story. Congratulations to Michael McCord on achieving BOTD!

Indeed love conquers all things but the question is how many women will stay and wait for wounded Mike to get heal?, Unless true love. Interesting novel and l love to read more.

What’s nice about memoirs is that there’s always learning to be had so I’m looking forward to digging into this one to find out how McCord survived the seemingly impossible challenges he faced in his life and how he tackled all the roles he played in the society.
