When Rumi, Albert Einstein and Maya Angelou talk together there must be some intriguing interplay of emotions in the author's mind, ready to capture the readers in perfect place. Joanne Greene's memoir, "By Accident" captures painful, traumatic experience of the protagonist who lost one after another her dear ones. I feel grateful to the reviewer for such insightful review. The book is a real game changer for me.

This memoir is inspiring. The author experienced overwhelming challenges. I agree that physical well-being should not be neglected. The themes of survival and self-discovery are important.

In her book, Joanne recounts the emotional and physical challenges she faced while dealing with her cancer diagnosis. She discusses the fear, loneliness, and frustration that she felt, and how she eventually accepted her situation and learned to navigate the difficult journey she was on. Joanne also writes about the importance of letting go of expectations and learning to find joy in the small things, such as the beauty of nature and spending time with loved ones. As she recounts her story, Joanne offers readers a roadmap for living a life of resilience, hope, and courage. By Accident is a powerful and inspiring story of self-discovery and hope that will leave readers feeling uplifted and empowered.

This is a brilliant review that gives a good synopsis of what to expect from this book. I sampled this remarkable book and I agree with the review on all counts, even though I am yet to read about all ordeals of Joanne mentioned in the review. It must have been hard to get over the colon cancer and even harder to write this book, reliving the memories.

After reading the first twenty pages,I felt sure this is my kind of book. The review confirmed it was an optimistic- realistic story of real life. A must- read.

Joanne's life experiences seemed very tough. Being hit by a truck and being diagnosed with colon cancer right after sounds devastating. I would like to know how she managed to get over that.

Joanne's story is definitely an eye opener for me. More often than not, in our pursuit for goals in life, we forget how important it is to be healthy and love yourself despite the difficulties. This is a well written review featuring a spirit of perseverance that never breaks even in the face of adversary. I look forward to tagging along in Joanne's journey of life.

Sorry to say, but this book is not my cup of tea, because the content described in the review sounds very disturbing and, considering it is a memoir, therefore a real story, makes it only worse by knowing someone actually lived through this. Unfortunately, I will have to skip the book, but congrats with BOTD, anyway!

By Accident" is a gripping journey through Joanne Greene's life in the '60s and '70s, a time of change for American women. Joanne's relentless pursuit of success and control, balanced with her family life, paints a vivid picture of her determination. But a traumatic accident changes everything, and the book beautifully illustrates the strength in vulnerability and the wisdom in letting go. It's a powerful reminder that life's true beauty lies in our moments of fragility and the pursuit of inner strength. A must-read for those seeking inspiration and self-discovery.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I also enjoyed her style of writing and she was very honest, but not with lots of anger. I am so glad she was able to grow with all of her adversaries and had her husband there during the trials. They sound like such a wonderful couple with lots of love. I have added this to my list of books to read. I do generally enjoy memoirs and this one certainly fits that category.
