John Gore’s "Stage Fright" offers a profound exploration of the anxiety and vulnerability inherent in appearing. His nuanced portrayal resonates deeply with anybody who has faced the spotlight, shooting each the phobia and the exhilaration of the degree. It's a compelling mirrored image on overcoming personal fears and embracing one’s actual self.

I was a bit afraid to sample this book. This is because of so many people I have known who have died from cancer. However, the author writes with an uplifting spirit as he talks about the routine of diagnosis and treatment. I have found his approach is not depressing and is informative. Thank you for your review. I will be reading this book.

A positive attitude, optimism, hope, and a joyful disposition rather than depression and hopelessness are the best antidote in a negative situation, even though it is challenging to maintain such attitudes while battling a terminal illness.
John's memoir, "Stage Fright," chronicled his survival and healing journey through several advanced-stage cancers and offers 15 rules for dealing with cancer.

Thank you for your insightful review of *Stage Fright* by John Gore. I agree that Gore's positive attitude and humor make this memoir both engaging and uplifting, despite its serious subject matter. His practical advice and relatable anecdotes offer valuable perspectives on coping with cancer. Your point about the book’s brief and abstract explanation of his professional background is well taken, but it’s great to hear that this didn’t detract from your overall enjoyment. This memoir indeed seems like a heartfelt and inspiring read.

With a positive attitude and belief, everything can be achieved. The author shares his journey with the readers when he was diagnosed with cancer. But he has infused humour in it. I would love to read this book and hence added this to my wishlist.

You're right. So many books about cancer are so depressing that they're difficult to read. I'm looking forward to reading this one. My friend has just gone into remission and may appreciate this book too.
