Stories of wars and the experiences of soldiers on the battlegrounds do not seem pleasurable to read, and the stories in this book recount the experiences of WWII veterans that hold good and bad aspects of the war.

How pleasing that these stories have been recorded and preserved now for generations to come. The bravery of these men was just astounding. I suppose one downside of the book to me is sadness that this era is over, most of them have long since passed on, but the courage and the patriotism laid bare in this book are utterly captivating.

Your review has won me over, and I will be adding this book to my to-read list. One of the points you made made a lot of sense to me. You said the book facilitates "credible means through which history can be preserved." I totally agree with you. I love that you explained how the book was arranged in organized sections, along with photos and diagrams, to help the reader visualize what the stories were saying. Thank you for taking the time to share.

It's only by reading the true accounts from the people who were there, that we can truly understand what happened during WWII. I'm adding this one to my list.

Enthusiast, interested in reading about wordlwar2 and their specific crew B-17, would probably love this book. The effort is admirable to collect interview from various soldiers and gain insight on their feelings. Also the writing method, that makes it more understand.

The review is very insightful and knowledge. The way it specifies about aviation and map planning. Very very good.

This book recounts the stories of various WWII veterans of the 95th Bombardment Group. Join these national heroes as they share their various experiences during their service years. This book offers authentic and insider information on the good and bad experiences of war.
- Our reality heroes are normally not appreciated for their selfless services and this is a good way to do so. Appreciating both the good and the bad experiences shows us that they too are human but they will go through the bad even to protect us. A very appreciative review. Thank you.

The perspective of someone who has endured hostile conditions like war can be exceptionally valuable and enlightening, particularly for those contemplating a career in this field or who have a loved one engaged in it. It's incredible how the soldiers muster the bravery to experience each of these situations so they can share them with young readers and impart an important lesson to all of us.

Thank you for your informational review. That is amazing to find no errors in such a lengthy book. While I do have the utmost respect and gratitude for all who serve in the services as well as their families, I don't usually read such long books about their lives as soldiers. I hope many others will enjoy this book and learn a lot from the history.

A book that is about the stories of war veterans will be a great one for history buffs indeed. It would be a great way to recognise and appreciate their heroic services and what they experienced.

B-17s Over Berlin by Ian Hawkins is a book depicting the stories of World War II veterans in the 95th bombardment group. The author shares the heroic stories of brave soldiers, how they adjusted to service life during a global war, and how they fought and died for their country. The sacrifices of innumerable brave soldiers will be remembered. I generally do not read war stories but this book grabbed my attention and I have added it to my reading list. Congratulations on the BOTD!

“Sacrifice is the currency of freedom.”
The sacrifices made by these brave men—whether through loss of life, freedom, or comfort—paved the way for a better world. Their selflessness echoes through generations.
