Thanks for a very detailed and insightful review of this devotional. You clearly stated what you liked and the errors you found in the book. Your comments were very objective and fair. Hopefully, the author can take a second look at this manuscript and correct those errors. I will be checking this book out. Well done!

This sounds like a good book for those looking to understand the Bible better and looking for a more spiritual connection. It's a shame about the grammar errors and the veering off topic many times. I can relate to the struggle of focusing when the subject shifts focus too much. Great and thorough review!

It seems like an encouraging work for those who enjoy this kind of reading. Great review. I'm not sure this is a book I would choose though.

This story would be difficult to follow because it is written on the basis of the scriptures. I always have trouble trying to connect stories with quotations from the bible.

I think for those who like to read a daily devotional, this might be a good option. I agree with the reviewer that while this book is identified as Christian, not all denominations of Christianity hold the same beliefs. However, I do believe that there are probably things that people of any faith could at least find inspirational.

I like devotional books that help the reader navigate through the Bible with ease. I'm really looking forward to going through this one.

Great review! While I don't feel that this book is something that I need right now in my life, I do feel like this book would be very useful for someone doing daily devotionals. I did like the fact that the author gave room to write notes each day.

I'm not a Christian so I probably won't be reading this one, but it sounds like a beneficial book for people with interest in Scripture!
Except for rapidly changing topics. That might annoy potential readers.

I really appreciate your review. The Bible is indeed a great source of encouragement and comfort.
I am passing through a rough time and the Bible really helps me. I put the Bible near my bed and when I wake up, I read a verse every day.
Thanks to your review I am going to read First Fruits. Your review of the book is so clear. I am imagining exactly what the content is like.
Healing by the Scriptures comes steadily and surely if you don't give up.

This is wonderful. I like the fact that the book presents the topics to be handled daily in a way that is very short but with a lot of depth. This is a nice review. I have the free copy and I will have to read this too.

I look forward to reading this book. I may or may not use it as a personal daily devotional depending on my assessment of it. I am impressed with the brevity it provides but not with the off-topics. Thanks for your review.

I’m not a fan of theological books, so I don’t think this one is for me. However, the “daily” approach the author takes in this book sounds like a great way for those interested to get small, informative doses about the Bible’s text.

This sounds like a good book. It is always helpful to find books that simplify the bible. Thank you for a thorough review. Your review gave me insight about parts of the book that I mind find helpful, for example the journaling parts of the book.

One of the things about being a Christian is having an open mind and understanding that the lesson you learn from a given passage may not be the lesson someone else learns from that same passage. Whether you be Baptist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, etc, your spiritual leader is should be teaching from the same book. And sometimes it is good to get a different viewpoint on the lessons taught within the Bible. As devotionals go, no, they are not for everyone but like hearing a different preacher, regardless of denomination, they offer differing points of view that can open up an entire new understanding and cause you to stop and say, "I never thought of it that way." And to large extent, that is what it means to truly study the scriptures and dig deep for every possible meaning any given passage can have. Something my grandfather, a retired missionary reverend, used to do every single day of his life, without fail, before he passed.
"Always do your absolute best in all that you do. Especially when you don't want to."
"If you cannot be proud of the job you did when you are done, you wasted your time."
