Memoirs are totally not my cup of tea, so I will have to pass this one out. Although after reading review I am sure book will have no trouble to interest people who favors the genre.

This sounds like such a feel-good book! It is pretty amazing that she was able to write a memoir about the last 80 years...I can barely remember what I did a couple years ago! Thanks for the great review

I agree that the younger generation are too sheltered. I will totally enjoy reading the life experiences in this book. Great book, great review.

A memoir that tells of a simpler time sounds like an enjoyable read. It is surprising that the author was able to tell her life story in such a short piece. Even that ability speaks of simplicity. No words wasted. It will be interesting to see how she compares today to yesterday. Thank you for your enjoyable review. 💕

That's quite fine with memoirs. They tell a life that the author led. It seems the author was nostalgic.

I must say that your review is superbly written. Kudos for a good job.

I adore the name of this book, but even though some of the time periods were probably interesting, I will not be reading this tome because I do not enjoy memoirs or autobiographies.

A lovely and a compact review for a book that also sounds delightful and is also comparatively brief. It sounds as if the author has managed to squeeze a long life into a very short book, but a book that sounds memorable to read. I feel that this last century that the author lived a great part of her life is probably one of the most interesting times to have been alive. The review certainly paints a story of a book well written and illustrated as well. It sounds like a worthwhile read and makes me wish that my own mother had also written a book like this, as she was a teenager during the great war.

The author did a great job writing a memoir of her life for over 80 years in just 62 pages. I totally agree with her that life was a lot more simpler then.

From a sampling, this seems like it would be an interesting autobiography. While it is not my preferred genre, it nevertheless is always to read something that helps open the mind to the world and the experiences of people that you would not usually meet. Well done.

Author has a great memory. With just losing my Mom a few weeks ago it reminds me to always tell my kids and grandkids stories of growing up and how things change in life and the world in which we live.

It's impressive that she was able to narrate her whole life in a short book and still be a great read. I'm not a fan of memoirs though, so I'll pass on this book. Great review!

The closing statement of this book is powerful. It shows that the author did appreciate the simplicity of her childhood and how much joy it brought. The touch of family pictures is always the highlight as it make the readers feel included and familiar with the family. Beautiful story, great review.
