Mawae's work that discusses issues of dentistry should be educative to many people with little knowledge of personal hygiene, especially oral care. I am very ready to jump at an opportunity to read and review this book to broaden my knowledge of the mouth and dental care. I hope the questions and answers provided would clear my doubts.

Teeth and dental health are taken for granted by so many people, and unfortunately, they realize that something must be done to solve their problems when it's already too late. This book sounds like a great help to those of us who have questions about dental health, yet it obviously does not replace the visits to the dentist. Thank you for a thorough review!

Yes, to the toilet spraying comment! When I first heard about toilet spraying during flushing it was on daytime television and I freaked out. I am glad she brought that up. I keep my toothbrush in the medicine cabinet not sure if my dentist would approve of that or not. Honestly, the whole thing sparked a little paranoia in my, haha. Well, I must say it's better to be cautious then ending up with toilet mouth and nasty unthinkable bacteria. I am glad the author took time to mention this. Some people aren't aware.

Quite helpful questions and answers filled book "TheLittleBook of Dental Questions" by Marcia Mawae, which gives us good lessons to learn about our dental hygiene. I am glad if at least a few tips would be very much useful to me.

This sounds like a great reference book if you are genuinely interested in learning more about the topic of dentistry. Not my type of book at all though.

"A dental hygienist, Ms. Mawae filled her book with interesting questions and answers, many of them pertaining to things that we've all wondered about at one time or another." I concur that her questions were interesting and engaging. The sample asked the question of the difference between plaque and tartar. The response served as a reminder of the importance of good dental hygiene.

This is probably a book that I should read, but I do not want to! Going to the dentist gives me such bad anxiety that I have panic attacks and can barely get in the door. Maybe I should read this book and it could help with that. Who knows!

Thank you for your thorough review MsTri! I really liked it, especially the little reference to quiz shows at the end.
Actually, I like this kind of book, with nice bits of information about relevant subjects. I'm not afraid of seeing the dentist, but neither do I like going. I have to admit, that I tend to procrastinate to set the annual appointment. Here I get more explanations and background information and maybe this knowledge will motivate me to appreciate dental health care with more vigor 😀

I am not one who fears going to the dentist but I do have small children who will be making their first trip to the dentist soon so I feel that this book will be helpful. Thanks you!
