The memoir "Defining Moments of a Free Man" is extremely engrossing, revetting and relevant. It thoroughly underscores the complex history of people of color and the devastating fact that white supremacy has been enforced for decades and decades in the United States and other countries. As an educated, scientific and fairly accomplished person of color myself, my trials and tribulations are definitely quite similar to Frank's.
Like Frank, there are many of us people of color who have started out in immense poverty and had to work and fight our way out of it for a better life. There are also many of us people of color who have been ridiculed by some of our fellow people of color for "selling out" or "not being enough of a person of color" simply due to said success and not other factors. Furthermore, there are many people of all backgrounds who have had to cope with the unrevealing of deep and dark family secrets as is the case with Frank. This publication should be not only garnering far more attention, but also read by people of many different backgrounds and age ranges due to said relevancy to what is still on our minds and in the news today. I would definitely give this publication a four out of four rating.

It's crazy how racial discrimination is still a major social problem. And I think it's going to be like this for quite some time. I admire the author for his ferocious determination to make something if himself despite is upbringing. I love to see black people win.
