Bunnies are super cute. So cute, in fact, that you're likely to consider getting one as a pet sooner or later. But there are so many contradictory statements about how to care for them that it's difficult to know what to do!

Have no fear, J. Mummey's book is here! A Bunny Rabbit is Moving In!: A new pet owner's guide to raising a bunny inside the home (author's capitalization) is an adorable, fact-filled book with a title that sums it up perfectly. Mummey discusses everything from how and where to get a bunny to how to interact with it and the necessities for proper care. She mentions things like the importance of having "good wood" and how to "make" it yourself, how to set up and clean the bunny's cage, and how to safely carry a bunny, then she ends the book with a couple of lists that function as a recap.

Mummey sneaks in loads of cute, funny statements along with the facts. For example, she points out that "Neither [fresh grass nor hay] are expensive, and hay has the added benefit of making your enemies sneeze." She also says "Little bunnies may nibble on you. Do not panic, you obviously taste good. During this phase just wear an old coat and gardening gloves." This balance makes the book just as entertaining as it is informative.

Perhaps best of all, A Bunny Rabbit is Moving In! includes numerous photos of Mummey's own bunnies. The pictures are so cute that I showed them to my fiancée and got an "aaawwwwww" out of each one. The photos highlight her advice as well, showing off a piece of furniture she made and the layout she has in place for her bunny's food, hay, water, and litter box.

With this blend of images, facts, advice, and humor, A Bunny Rabbit is Moving In! manages to be straightforward, entertaining, and encouraging. She's quick to point out that taking care of a bunny is a serious responsibility, but she's just as quick to assuage the reader's fears. Heck, "You can do this!" is written three times in the book! My rating of the book is 4 out of 4 stars. It's an easy recommendation for anyone considering a bunny as a pet or people who have recently gotten a bunny. I'd also recommend it to anyone who loves bunnies in general or loves learning about animals. I didn't find a single error and there was no profanity, making it great for parents to share with their children as well.

The title itself is too cute! Not sure if I will be able to ever pet a bunny, but I might just read the book for the photos you mentioned.

This sounds so sweet. I like when entertainment is mixed in with facts in a way that adds to it rather than takes anything away. Given that it's about rearing bunnies, it's especially important to have this balance as pet care is a serious matter. Thank you!

I had a number of pet rabbits as a child, and this book sounds like a very informative care guide. The addition of cute photos was also a nice touch.
