Idiom Attack Vol.1: Everyday Living (French Edition) by author Peter N. Liptak is the first of a book series dedicated to understanding the use of idioms correctly. It offers the reader plenty of examples and exercises to fully comprehend and apply more than 300 idioms in English and French. The student will be hand-guided through the process of understanding and practicing idioms. The author uses simple conversations where idioms are used, short stories with questions and answers, and fill-in-the-blank sentences that will help along the learning journey.

How important is it for someone who is trying to improve their skills in a new language, to fully comprehend conversations like a native speaker?. Idioms play a very important role when it comes to trying to communicate abroad because it is very uncomfortable when you get lost in the middle of a conversation. When everybody laughs and you are left wondering. Believe me, it is so embarrassing! With this book, you will be reassured on how to use idioms in a daily conversation so you will feel confident when traveling or living abroad.

Personally, I struggled a lot understanding idioms. I was lucky to have a high-quality education through my school years. Yet, it was always difficult for me to comprehend an everyday conversation when talking to a native speaker. So, I had to make an extra effort trying to learn and memorize idioms by myself. Listening to conversations on TV Shows, movies and even songs was the way I got to learn most of them. The longest way around was the shortest way home to me. But this may not be the answer for everyone.

Learning idioms is very important for a foreigner, because it is the difference between being considered as an amateur and being someone that others can consider a native speaker. Imagine getting that job you’ve always wanted or being part of that reading club feeling confident when discussing a book. This is the biggest reward you can get when learning a new language and Idiom Attack Vol. 1: Everyday Living (French Edition) will make the difference!

With Idiom Attack Vol. 1: Everyday Living (French Edition) by author Peter N. Liptak, you will be able to make a list of the most common and relevant idioms used in daily living and even when doing business so you will never feel embarrassed about missing the point in a conversation again!. The most valuable thing in this book is, having the possibility of learning idioms simultaneously in two languages: English and French. Personally, I have never come across to a books similar to the Idiom Attack series. It is definitely a must-have! I rate it 4 out of 4 stars.
