Review by Infinite I -- A Thousand Seeds of Joy
From the first look, it seems like a book which might be suitable for people following a particular religion or who are very spiritual. But it’s not like that. This book is not one of those books which advocate the philosophy of a particular religion. This book does involve conversation between two goddesses, but still it won’t fall under spiritual genre alone. It’s meant for all.
A Thousand Seeds of Joy: Teachings of Lakshmi and Saraswati by Ananda Karunesh is not just about supernatural powers or divinity. It explains the things in terms of modern science as well. Some people might not believe in these words, but if anyone has read ancient books, they would know that these words do hold a deep meaning. There are few references pertaining to some ancient scriptures and cultural elements. If the reader has some knowledge regarding ancient philosophies and is mentally prepared to receive the knowledge, then this book has a lot to offer.
It involves our daily lives, the way we live, the way we perceive our surroundings and the problems associated. For those who believe in the power of mind, and have read the books regarding law of attraction, would like this book. The author has explained about chakras and how to understand and enlighten our inner power. This book is divided into different chapters and all of them have a vast knowledge to give. There are new insights about destiny, karma, tantra, ascension and a lot of such things pertaining to our mind, body and soul.
There are some chapters which explain feminism in true sense. There are chapters which talk about Sita, Eve, Mary Magdalene, Draupadi, Rukmani, Radha and there’s another point of view regarding Karna and Draupadi bond. The author explains about how some stories were fabricated about enlightened women with the passage of time. This was done by the society which had men dominance thinking, and to whom women empowerment is not acceptable.
The language of the book is very simple and easy to understand. I didn’t find any grammatical errors. This book really helped me to understand my true self. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars . The notes at the end were nice. This book is unique in the sense that it offers the wisdom and a different outlook to a lot of thoughts, which is very rarely seen or heard amongst us common people. If you want to read a book that is different from other books, then go for it. It tells us how we think of the things and how they actually are. It definitely makes us think with a different perspective.
