Eggstravagant Easter Eggs is a book written by Maya Elston in the book she gives over 200 ideas on how to make artistic looking eggs. She gives a brief introduction on the history of the Easter eggs and what the eggs painted for Easter symbolized. She gives a detailed description on the materials required to make the Easter Eggs she also provide readers with colorful pictures of the materials required which makes it easy for them to know what exactly they need. She gives a step by step instruction on how to decorate candy style eggs, polka dot eggs, lace decorated eggs, festive eggs with ribbons and eggs in the style of an ancient Greek vases as well as in Italian and Spanish tiles and many other styles.

The writers ideas are very unique and it is very interesting to know that she graduated from the Department of Monumental Paintings at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria.The cover of the book is very eye catching and the pictures displayed in the book are also attractive and interesting this gives a reader something to look forward to when reading.

I must say I’m not a big fun of non fictional books but this particular book caught my attention it was not boring at all as I expected it to be in fact once I started reading it I just wanted to keep reading it as I was curious and interested to know more on the different ways of decorating an Easter egg. The materials she uses are also quit available in any local stores and are user friendly.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This is because the editing was well done, the writer uses good and easy English this made it easy for me to read without having to go back and check the meaning of some words. However, I did not like how short and boring chapter 10 was where she writes about eggs in white and black, I felt like she did not give enough ways on how to decorate eggs in white and black.

I would recommend this book to people with an interest in art and to anyone who is looking for an adventure in the artistic world. The procedures provided by the writer are easy to follow and understand, therefore, it does not require one to have any art skills in order to make the Easter Eggs. . I highly recommend this book because at the end of reading it even if you do not try making the Easter eggs you can look at the colorful pictures of the end result of Maya Elston`s beautiful work
