Review by Njkinny -- A Thousand Seeds of Joy
A Thousand Seeds of Joy by Ananda Karunesh is a book unlike any that I have read or had heard about before I came across this one. Imagine my surprise and skepticism when I read the blurb which mentions the various teachings of two revered Hindu Goddesses that have been imparted to the author through direct dialogue! I am a believer and an open-minded person but still, I could not stop myself from disbelief over the author’s claims to have conversed with two divine beings. However, once I started reading the book I slowly fell in love with this empowering publication and could easily side-step this concern of mine to focus on the message imparted through it.
Reading this book is like having a spiritual, uplifting and peaceful experience. The author explains in simple yet vivid detail his many experiences where he felt the Goddesses' presence. The book details many revelations, arguments and prophesies that are so deep in their maturity that they cannot be conceived by an ordinary mind.
Beautifully written, this book is professionally edited and I didn’t find any major grammatical errors in the book. The writing is fluid and had me engaged throughout. The chapters are planned in such a manner that makes it easy to read this book in parts. I completed one topic of conversation that had been covered in one part of the book and then could easily take a break to mull over all the insights I had gained without breaking the flow of the dialogue.
I, especially, loved “The Feminine Wisdom of Mahabharata” and was astounded with the revelations. I have read this Hindu epic so many times and watched it on television numerous times but still when I read this part of the book, it was like I was reading it for the first time. Maybe, this was because I truly understood the various aspects of the scripture for the first time!
The author’s take on balancing the feminine and the masculine sides of society are something readers will relate to. The imbalance has led to the unrest in society that we see today and has already “awakened the divine feminine power that resides within the collective human consciousness”. He advocates not succumbing to the anger and aggression caused by the unrest but surrender to the joy and wisdom that resides in all of us.
“As humans practice this divine feminine wisdom, it will allow them to experience life with less sorrow and despair, and more love and freedom.”
Divine incarnations like Sita, Eve, Mary, Radha and Draupadi have always been showcased as women who, despite doing everything expected of them and making sacrifices, have struggled all their lives. The author presents them in a positive light and helped me understand their choices better. I understood that each choice has a consequence. They made their choice and then lived the consequences of their choice.
While this book covers religious, spiritual and feminine topics, it is still a book that brings all religions together. I felt united, empowered and awakened after reading it and give A Thousand Seeds of Joy by Ananda Karunesh 4 out 4 stars.
Njkinny recommends this unique and memorable book to everyone. The message from this book will benefit everyone as it tries to unite people and empower them regardless of their religious inclinations.
