Review by abudaniel28 -- The Solution is Political Revol...
[Following is a volunteer review of "The Solution is Political Revolution" by Jillion R Rising.]
The Solution is Political Revolution by Jillion R Rising is first and foremost a book that I strongly believe everyone who is not satisfied with the financial status quo of their countries, most especially every American, irrespective of their political views have to read. A 254-page-long book, the author presents a thorough review of the entire United States' economic situation, beginning from the founding fathers' plans for the US, all the way to the current state of the American financial affairs.
According to the author, the American problem stems from a systematically orchestrated plan by the government to bankrupt its citizens. Although, this could have been unintentionally carried out, or probably an act of ignorance from the part of the rulers of the United States, or it could have just been the result of incompetence. However, to avoid walking on the path of a conspiracy theorist, Rising uses several facts from reputable sources to posit that if Americans' financial institutions do not get their acts together and immediately, then the experiment known as the United States of America is doomed to fail.
I like Rising's methodology in creating The Solution is Political Revolution. He uses a combination of action-reaction-conclusion approach. This makes the book read like a thesis or an academic paper rather than a novel. The author spent countless hours gathering all the information needed to make this book worth reading. As an academic, I have to thank Mr Rising for providing sources for his statistics so the book is not just one more op-ed from another I-know-what-I-am-talking-about wannabe writer. To be honest, the book is a breath fresh of air.
As a non-American, I find it difficult to fathom the findings of the author and the figures in the book. Firstly, the thought that boomers are entering into retirement at the rate of 10,000 boomers per day for the next twenty years is paralysing, but maybe what's more disturbing is the fact that due the US fake economy, according to Mr Rising, the government has no real response to sustaining Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid. Unfortunately, instead of the people who were elected to fix these problems, they decided to create a false division among the citizenry (African American community, Asian community, Christian community, Muslim community just to name a few), and the consequences of these - Americans are busy fighting and killing themselves, and what's more, tearing themselves apart. Secondly, I fail to see the reason behind why the Americans have become so reticent when it comes to bailouts of the big banks, big corporations and Wall Street by their government using their taxes. Here is a quote from the book “…the only difference between your student loan and the government loan is you are on the hook to repay the student loan, while the government pays their loan using your money.”
I like that The Solution is Political Revolution is an easy-to-read book. It gives an insight into why the US government is in so much debt and to whom. Furthermore, it is soothing to see that the author didn't just dump insanely amount of information into the book, but also provides step-by-step exit plans for the citizenry. I believe that if the US government follows the action-reaction plans stated in this book, the US citizenry will begin to see real results in no time. This is how convinced I am about the book due to the clearness and the articulateness of Mr Rising.
The Solution is Political Revolution is well edited and thoroughly proofread as I was unable to find any grammar errors. I am impressed with the amount of valid and vital information presented in the book. Due to these, I have to give it a four out of four stars.
I recommend this book in general to every American citizen; they have to know what's going to happen to their future. Secondly, this book could be a good source of information for economics and budgeting 101. Thirdly, if you are interested in the workings of the US government, in terms of banking and financing, then The Solution is Political Revolution by Jillion R Rising is your book. Finally, because of the easy language and sentence construction, I would recommend this book to English as a foreign language students.
