Start Doing "It" by Olive P. Ellis is a relationship guide based on Christian faith. It is specially written for couples, whether they are in a happy or unhappy relationship. This book serves as a practical guide to help them with verified methods and practices. It also draws a close parallel with the Bible while bringing forth their remedies. It describes sensitive problems in any relationship and provides advice on handling them. The book presents a part by part analysis of the ways to fix a deteriorating relationship. Also, it bases its methods from the teachings of Christ and upholds the values of the Bible.

The first part of the book deals with various stages of a relationship and helps readers understand what exactly went wrong in their relationship. It outlines common mistakes people make with their partners and how to avoid such errors in the future. It teaches you to be considerate of each other and also guides you to make positive changes. Also, the author feels that any working relationship must have God in the center of it.

The second part of the book is about bringing back the feeling of when you first fell for each other. It generally advises staying intimate with your partner. The third part is about dealing with sex. It provides you with ways to maintain your passion and discusses in length about foreplay and sex positions. It also talks about the problems people face when getting older. The fourth and last part deals with gaining self-confidence and the need to forgive one another in times of crisis.

Overall, the book is a well-written guide with lots of examples. The author also addresses the problems that she has faced in her relationships to make it more relatable. It also has Bible phrases and notable quotes littered all around the text to give people a proper perspective. The writing is simple and easy to understand. The author uses the results of surveys conducted by renowned researchers while giving her advice. I also appreciated the use of metaphors in this book. Especially the one where the author describes marriage as an empty box, saying that we only get from it what we put inside, stands out.

This book is professionally edited. I found only a few typos that do not detract the readers from the fantastic reading experience. I do not have anything to complain about in this book. It has no profanity but contains detailed sexual acts, so I find it unsuitable for underage readers. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as it can serve as a detailed and reliable guide for people who want to make their relationship better and more exciting. I recommend this book to people who are in a relationship and want to understand their partner better.

Relationships are geared towards perfect but it has real life issues to deal with. Good results comes first from the determination to thrive. And a Christians perspective is indeed the way to go.

I believe that every adult, whether in a happy relationship or otherwise, as well as those looking forward to getting into a relationship need to read this book since it is very educative. I am hoping to read this book soon. Thanks for the great review.

I definitely didn't expect a relationship guide based on Christian faith when reading the title of this book! I dare say this book has a very succesful title... The topic is important and probably this book is something every married adult should read. Relationships are never easy. Only part that is really easy is how to mess it up. Thanks for the informative review!
