It's detracting that the glaring errors begin from the title itself.
Thank you for the honest review.

It is a sad state of affairs that things like this still need to be educated on in this day and age :( But, we are where we are, and I am really pleased that these things are being spoken out about, that these things are getting more exposure and more discussion! Adding to my shelf. Thank you for such a thorough review!

Wow! I think I love it already. I am imagining what's going to happen to black kids when school resumes after covid-19 and demonstrations for equality. I believe this book speaks volumes at this moment and educators should purpose to read it.

African American fatherhood is definitely something that should be relieved of all the negative stereotypes it has been assigned. I am happy that in recent times competent researchers, creators, and writers have been giving it the attention it deserves. Thank you for this interesting review!

I like it that the author choose one element to focus on and work from there. It's sad that not all kids have equal chances in life, and stereotypes still rule too often. Thanks for your review.

Just about the right book for the race inequality going on in the world at the moment. I must confess, this book is well suited for the times and your review did great justice to bringing to fore what needs to be done.

It's aimed at teachers primarily, but the role of parents is discussed, of course. Thank you for reading and commenting!

Thanks for a wonderful and honest review.
Yes, I loved the way the author called on educators to make a difference. Thanks for your nice comment!

sirbobthewise wrote: 01 Jun 2020, 00:21 I definitely want to get my hands on this book. Such an important topic and I don’t believe that I’ve come across a book diving deeply into the specific relationships between fathers and daughters. The call for educators to be a positive influence is something that I deeply concur with, and I hope that more people are able to read this book to gain perspective and resources so we can more collectively rise to that call. Great review!
Highly recommended reading for educators. Many thanks for your nice comment!

It's so inspiring when authors choose to write about such thematic concerns in our contemporary world.
