[Following is the official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Bless the Bees: The Pending Extinction of our Pollinators and What You Can Do to Stop It" by Kenneth Eade.]

This book Bless the Bees: The Pending Extinction of our Pollinators and What You Can Do to Stop It by Kenneth Eade is about what would happen to our planet if all bees were to become extinct. I liked this book, not because it was an entertaining read but because it offers the reader an insight into the important role of pollination on the worlds plants and just how necessary it is.

The Facts

There are theories in this book that could be considered to be wild or not true but the author backed up these facts; the author tells the reader where a lot of this research is being done and how which helped me to consider these theories a lot more seriously.

The Importance of Bees

Before reading this book I had no idea how important the role of bees were on our planet, without bees we would not be able to enjoy so many foods such as onions, peas, strawberries, blueberries or even cocoa! Yes that’s right without bees there would be serious world food shortage.

Pesticides

This book also goes into a lot of information about pesticides and just how dangerous pesticides are, for bees and for humans. Some studies suggest that pesticides can impact brain development in young children and even some experts would go as far to say pesticides is the main reason for the sudden threat of the extinction of the bees.

Final Thoughts

I would recommend this book to somebody who is interested in biology or somebody who is interested in how our world works and why the bees play such an important role in it.I would not recommend this book to anybody who is looking for an entertaining read because this book is more factual rather than entertaining; however it does provide some very interesting information and if you were to decide to read this book I am sure that you are bound to learn something new.

I enjoyed this book and I have learned many new things from it, I am glad that I decided to read this book because it was clear and concise about the main theme which is about the very real possibility of the extinction of bees. I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars.
