Review by John223 -- Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living...
Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living ( Japanese Edition) By Peter Liptak is a book that has a collection of nearly 300 North American Idioms that are impeccably arranged, and well-written in a series of Twenty-Five chapters. The Idioms that can be seen in this book are thoroughly explained and categorized according to the Subject you've wanted to learn. However, this book may guide those individuals who wanted to widen their knowledge when it comes to the universal language; English.
The Twenty-Five chapters of this book are properly arranged and it depends on the use of the Idioms and its Subject. Some of the interests that can be found in this book might cause a fascination with the other individual, weather conditions, Special dates and events, human interaction, etc. Can be seen in this book. Therefore, Chapter Twenty-One has a subject, relaxing. Moreover, I've found out that this chapter is consisting of Idioms that is somehow affiliated with the Relaxing things, suchlike taking a nap, kickback, daydream, and many more that is somewhat parallel. It also helps others to easily ascertain Idioms and its deliberating meaning.
Some of us had already known that Idioms, or also known as Phrasal Expressions have diverse meanings from its actual words of use. This may cause an insensate to the individual learners to demystify the purposeful meaning. In an English community, this situation can be a reason to threaten the Social and Economic status that can affect the individual's mental health, because of confusion that can lead to misunderstanding.
Peter Liptak did a great job of covering these Idioms. But it's somehow obvious that there are still a lot of Idioms that haven't discussed in this volume and I highly recommend to that individual whose willing to learn more about Idioms, to buy any available volume that can also help them to widen their knowledge when it comes to American English Idiomatic expressions.
Moreover, idioms are a crucial part of learning English and I'm sure that it was hard to master it. But this book Idiom Attack - Everyday Living (Japanese Edition) can help you to conquer idioms. For those Japanese individuals who want to learn Idioms, I highly recommend this book for you to learn and it also has a Japanese translation that can help you to understand what's in this book.
this book can entertain the learners who at the age of 10 and above. since this book has entertaining illustrations and stories that can be caught children's attention, crosswords, and fill in the blanks that may also entertain the adults. however, there are some words in this book that is not suitable for young readers. therefore, words that are explicit and vulgar is not visible.
And so in, I'm rating this book a 4 out of 4 stars because it was perfectly and professionally proofread. It also has a very simple format that satisfies my eyes, and the synonym of Idioms is easy to find. It also has an accurate meaning, and then fill in the blanks and stories that help individuals to memorize the Idioms easily.
