This is a review for the book titled The Ultimate Love by Sherine Anniruth. First and foremost, it is important to note that this is a non-fiction book. The author shares her journey of grief simultaneously encouraging those going through the same thing especially those who have lost a child or children. In the first chapter, you can immediately tell that Sherine is detailing out her grief following the loss of her child Nadeem.

One of the things I look for in a book is understanding above all else, the ability to understand the book enough to explain it to other people who might not have had the chance to read it. Often, writers use ambiguous English words, and half the time you find yourself having to rely on the dictionary consequently missing the message behind the book. With that said, I enjoyed the simplicity in the writing style. It's simple and yet so touching. The sincerity is almost tangible. I think what also makes it so easy to read is the fact that this is a personal journey, one can assume it was easy to write just as it was to read.

I lost my best friend and grandmother two days apart, while the book was a reminder of this painful memory it also served as a reminder to cherish those who still walk this earth. Sherine is sure to remind readers that tomorrow is never guaranteed therefore we should spend time with our loved ones as much as possible. When I lost my best friend and grandmother I didn't have the time to mourn, I was in shock but this book has given me hope and reminded me that although they may not be with me today I have other people with me.

I am not a mother as yet, therefore, I can never understand the pain of losing a child until I experience it. I, however, found the tips provided in this book to help deal with the loss I've personally experienced. The author was very open about a loss many people wouldn't necessarily want to share with the world, I commend her for being courageous to put herself out there and help other people in the process.

I particularly liked the chapter that talked about gratitude. We often focus on the loss of loved ones that we forget to show gratitude for those who are still with us. I also like that she talked about spirituality, I am spiritual and I have found prayer to be helpful. In conclusion, I rate this book 4 out of 4 because it was easy to read and it was sincere. This book would be ideal for different audiences such as churches, families, and bereaved parents.
